I just finished a mini-tour with a band... a, errrr.. Queen tribute band (won't mention which band because that's too much like a shameless plug for my tastes. I'll leave that crap to Mahler).
Having said that, as just a fill-in guy for this tour (in New South Wales) I really did have immense fun. At times it was almost like being in a rock and roll band! Ha-ha. Actually I'm a bit out of sorts now because it was a busy week and now I've got absolutely nothing to do.
Anyone else here get into a funny frame of mind after doing a tour? (Be it musical or just working on the road).
I can't describe the feeling.

Any chance of the tour reaching Hyannis, MA???
Haha.. !
If there's any bowling clubs or retirement communities, sure!
That's not totally fair of me, of course. We did play some holiday places as well and the babes were all upons... all upon their boyfriends, that is. It was a really unfair ratio between girls and manfriends over there, the band could barely get a look in.

Man, it should be law that bands ALWAYS have access to girls (or if you're a female band, guys) :-P
On the one hand, no... I always feel like a performing monkey when I accept money to do someone elses music.
But overall it was huge fun!!! I really enjoyed spending the week with the guys and being on the road. I wish I had the attention span to sit down and do a write-up, we packed a lot into a few days.
