Here is some information I received from Hollywood Records yesterday, regarding a major promotion that is going on in the States.
Over 700 FYE/Sam Goody/Transworld stores are participating in the Queen promotion, "buy the CD and get a t-shirt free" that runs from street date until supplies run out. In addition the album will be featured on the Impact Wall Graphic in approximately 225 stores and on a 4-way fixture in the remaining stores through 12/21/08. The Cosmos Rocks will also be featured in ALL stores from 10/28/08 through 1/11/09.
If anyone is interested in a copy of the list of stores please let me know. It is in an Excel spreadsheet format.
Hopefully with this promotion going on, the album sales will increase and the guys will be encouraged to plan a North American tour. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
