The worst thing I've ever done was kill an old lady. It was a long long time ago when my girlfriend and I first moved in together. A neighbour came to our door one day and said that she was worried that she hadn't seen the old woman who lived downstairs for a couple of days. My girlfriend had a wee peek through the letter box and said she could see the old woman lying behind the front door. We phoned an ambulance but before it arrived we decided to kick the door in to see if we could help her.
I put my boot to the door and it gave way surprisingly easily. Sadly the door flew open and it smacked the old lady in the head. She died on her way to the hospital. The police took statements from everybody and I never heard any more about it but I cant help but wonder if they old dear might have still been alive had it not been for me trying to help her.
