Hi, have the band had anyone playing support at their concerts recently? I'm going on Saturday, it's starts at 6.30pm, but I was wondering if there is a warm up? I'm going to be limited for time and don't want to miss any of the bands set... but I don't mind missing any support band.[br][br]Can anyone help with this?[br][br]thanks in advance.[br]
No support, no warm up. But i had to listen to recorded AC/DC for one hour before the concert started. It wasn't great fun. Wonder if they were one hour late with the beginning in other countries as well?
Phoenix. I called up the SECC. They said there was no support, and the band would be on from 8pm - 10.30ish. I'm coming through from Edinburgh and was worried about the traffic with the Scotland game on today. Just give yourself plenty of time.
Thanks Funster.... yeah you're right to beat footie traffic. If you get this email in time... the West End of Glasgow is much better for pre-drinks. Don't go to City Centre... especially after 0-0 fiasco and drunken Scots fans (and plenty Norwegian ones too) kickin about makin fools of themselves. "Park Bar" near S.E.C.C. on Argyle Street is a cracking little pub for a few pre concert soft drinks!!!
[p]Hope you enjoy your night... should be a lot of fun. Dreading the Freddie Bo Rap moment (got a lump in my throat prepared already!). Only seen Roger before (Glasgow 99... I think it was... fab, cos I worked there at the time behind the bar too!)... only a fan since 91 so never seen a proper Queen gig (please don't let this comment start any boring "not really Queen" arguments he he).
[p]Bought my whole family tickets, so 6 of us all going (scattered around unfortunately due to manic rush for tickets online)... hope they enjoy it as much as I am going too.
[p]If you or anyone else is staying over from outside Glasgow... Firewater on Sauchiehall Street is open til 3am and plays good mixture of modern and old rock and indie... I'm the general manager so I'll be making sure the DJ throws some Queen in (shameless plug for my own club... sorry lol). Maybe see some of you there... have a good time, have a ball !!!

No support-act what so ever...
I missed the opening if the gig due to the fokking [/img] traffic in Rotterdam. They started playing right on time!
