Firstly would like to say what a fantastic site you all have here.
Hopefully Im in the right forum.
Just wanted to know the truth about my Highlander Selection CDV I bought back in the 80s.Does anyone know how many were actually made?
I paid £20 at the time,no idea of its worth now (tho not planning on selling lol)
I used to buy loads of Queen stuff back then but have lost touch with whats out there since the Great Mr Mercury sadly departed from us.Finding this site has been a breath of fresh air.
No idea, but it can't have been many - CDV was a very niche format.
As an aside, it would be interesting to see what EMI/QPL's figures were for production quantities for many items - they must know, even if it's well buried info.

£20 is a bargain! Well done!
Some more info: link
Catalogue price from 2007: link
By the way, according to queenpicturehall.com only 50 of those where made.
I quote: " The Highlander Selection CD-v 1986 UK $400
info: unique promo, 50 only"
Dunno if someone these days will still pay £400,- / $400,- for it, but it's a great and rare item nevertheless!
