Thank You very much for this gr8kingrat!!!!!!
This is very much true! It's a very exciting performance, though the version I listened to, which was passed on to me by a friend, sounds pretty awful because it's not only lossy, but deeply lossy, like 64kb/s, and something. But it was enjoyable all the same, the sound was clear.
Freddie sings Let Me Entertain You just beautifullu and with that bit of humor which I love so much. Like, the concer in Cologne, 1979, he does that. He sings like this in Cologne: "I can show some GOOOOOOD (very gutural, funny voice) merchandise...to thrill you I use any deviiiiice (he sings it in Cologne with a lot of humor, as if he were about to fall flat on the ground or losing his balance, it's damn funny).
Well, it doesn't have the same humor of the Cologne performance, but a bit of it, yeah, and his voice is just amazing, it's great.
The crowd, in Milwaukee, gets all excited when he sings that high-pitched "and a tour de foooorce, yeah", it's exciting.
His voice in the chorus sounds absolute pristine and pure: no harshness in "enterTAIN YOUUUUU", it comes out smoothly, absolutely in tune, just Freddie style.
He starts off the line "Chicago and New Orleans" very high-pitched, just like in the recording, and adds a lot of charm and grace to what follows - "got you on the line if you dig the...", doing a great choice of notes, as always.
I think, my opinion, Roger was recorded a bit distant and there's some lack of bass and his drumming sounds a bit unpleasant at times.
Now, just to stick to this song and not to make the post too long:
Brian May is soloing like HELL. He rocks in this rendition of Let Me Enternain You. It's very wild playing, very exciting, fast and loud. Just the way he likes it and we like it, I guess!
So, have fun! I'll have a lot as soon as I get some time to download it and listen to it in FLAC. Just great!
Thank you so much for this! I have been able to download so many great concerts because of people like you on this forum going out of their way to share and here is another one!!!
