For all you guitar players out there...
There are many love of my life tabs out there, but which is your favorite, and why?
This is because im lazy, and only want to learn one version, not learn half of one and find halfway through that it doesnt sound right!!!!
PS. Being a tab for a 6 string guitar is a good thing!! Also and links to some Queen tab sites is also a good thing:)

Well i think this is a good question. To be honest unless you have an amplifier this song will not sound good. It may be much better to play another song like crazy little thing called love because the emphasis is on rhythm, whereas playing fingerstyle will not sound good unless you have long finger nails. Using a pick makes it sounds clanky and just not good. Using your fingers will make it sound mellow but you can't get the volume out.
If you want to play it, the tabs that are out there are pretty good, but some of the notes are not very easy to hit or user friendly. The star licks dvd by brian may (on youtube) is good, as brian plays the first verse of love of my life, but again only sounds good because he has an amplifier and because he is brian may!
What i tend to do with acoustic songs is get the chords and then get the tabs and make the best of both. For example after my years of trying to find the right song on acoustic guitar for Queen these are the following songs i will play:
Dreamers Ball - sounds class with chords and fingerstyle put together (will get at link. Very period which is good if you ever get asked to play a song for someone as it's kinda jazzy and different, kinda drugs...
Crazy little thing called love - for this i would advise you to get the following dvd, Queen Lick Library by Michael Casswell, Volume 1. Here he covers the songs and shows how to play it in a cool way not playing the traditional G and C chords but mashing them together. Pretty amazing. I also incorporated this with the following DVD - edgar cruz solo guitar queen. This is really impressive the stuff he can play but picked up a nice few bits to add into the song p.s. this guy is really amazing there's no way i would try to play the way he does because he has microphones and long finger nails to get the sound out.
Is this the world we created - just the intro, the rest of the songs never really sounded good, its more to do with the vocal.
Love of my life - well as I said above pretty hard to get a good rich sound

I love my guitar and bought a few more to keep it going. I train as much as I can every day, for up to four or six hours. The best part of this story is that all facets of my life have been spreading the joy that I find playing the guitar. proofreading & editing Services
