--got me thinking about Freddie's funeral services.
Does anyone have any detailed descriptions or pictures of the various attendees (like Elton)? Any idea on what the tributes/bouquets from Bowie, Glitter, U2 or Ringo looked like or said? Etc, etc.
Any information is appreciated. I think it's very touching the way Freddie has been memorialized and it's heartwarming to see the way Elton and others have spoken about him in the tragic aftermath of his passing.
There's some officially released/approved footage on the "Champions of the World" documentary. I would imagine you can find this wonderful documentary on YouTube, as you can anything else related to Queen.
Shots of people arriving (Elton, John Deacon), the casket car, flowers on display, notes attached to the flowers (one from Bowie), everyone looking very somber. And it was a cloudy/overcast day.
They all have looked so happy and joyful. Brian's played 'Yakety Sax' on the Red Special in that the Benny Hill show style, while everyone was running around Freddie's coffin and throwing flowers into Elton's blithesome face.
Join The Hub to see that fancy-ball, it's still one of the most popular uploads over there 'News about Freddie's death' etc.

That's the post of the day as far as I'm concerned. Kudos!

Why would you want to know about this?
Well, as I said "I think it's very touching the way Freddie has been memorialized and it's heartwarming to see the way Elton and others have spoken about him in the tragic aftermath of his passing."
If you love or respect someone a great deal, aren't you interested in how they are remembered by others? And doesn't it touch you to see the outpouring of love that they share?
Maybe this topic is a bit ghoulish. I don't know. It wasn't meant to be, though. I'm not frightened or uncomfortable about death I suppose...I'm sorry if I've offended any of you or made you feel uncomfortable.
Serry's post was hilarious, though.
