For all of you who don't have an account at TTD, here it is! :) A million thanks to josedequeso for this one! This is definitely a great upgrade! Notes from the original uploader: ------------------------------------------------- Queen Pavillion de Paris Paris, France March 1st 1979 Video Source: VHS Master>Low Gen VHS (1st or 2nd)>DVDR Video Bitrate: 6345 kbps DVD Length: 1:02:57 Audio Codec: AC3 Audio Bitrate: 48000Hz 192 kb/s , mono We Will Rock You (Fast) Let Me Entertain You Somebody To Love (Paris 2-28-79) Fat Bottomed Girls You're My Best Friend Now I'm Here Don't Stop Me Now If You Can't Beat Them (Paris 2-28-79) Spread Your Wings Dreamer's Ball Bohemian Rhapsody (Paris 2-28-79) Tie Your Mother Down (Paris 2-28-79) Sheer Heart Attack (Paris 2-28-79) Total Time: 1:02:57 This is by far the best version I've seen of Paris 79, this is the QTV version which is very crisp and clean, no vhs generation to speak of. This is one of the better video documents of the Live Killers era. Maybe one day Queen Productions will release this excellent footage in it's entirety. The majority of this video comes from the March 1st show, but a couple of songs are from the February 28th show, as well as the last 5 seconds come from the 27th. For screenshots, see here: link Enjoy, josedequeso ------------------------------------------------- As josedequeso said... Enjoy! ;) Raf NOTE: I'll be seeding constantly for the next 24h or so, and then I'll probably need a 14-hour break or so, before seeding for another 24h. So be patient! Do NOT beg for seeders before I actually finish seeding a few complete copies. Once you're finished, please seed. I had to stop seeding this at TTD (where I actually have a share ratio to improve) to seed it here, so show some respect and help seeding once you're done. |

Many thanks! |

This is probably the best version out there - at least the best I have seen. Recommended! I have jumped on this torrent with 99.9 % finished from my TTD download (some small file must have been changed, maybe the info file?), and will be seeding on and off for a while. My ratio at TTD is decent, but I have some other uploading responsibilities, so I can't stay on constantly. ;-) |
bohemianmoomin 23.01.2008 08:25 |
Sounds excellent! Can't wait to see it! |
josedequeso 23.01.2008 08:29 |
Thanks Raf for putting it up here, it's something every Queen fan should see. |

Thank you for helping! :) Any help is always welcome! ;) |

Thanks for putting this on QZ. I just got it last week on TTD and I opened this torrent with my files also getting 99.9%. Should download your change quickly and I will be helping to seed this too and get it started. I agree this is the best version I seen of this!! |
queenside 23.01.2008 18:08 |
i downloaded it from ttd and it's great, quality is better than i thought it would be. it's one camera shot, so it's a fan shot isn't it, can anyone give me info on that |

But from josedequeso's comments and also from a discussion on another thread - link - I've gotten the impression that Queen actually got it filmed. I just don't understand why they'd do a 1-cam recording of a concert. This bootleg has excellent quality, and the camera is quite steady - but it still doesn't compare to a proper multi-cam shooting. Once again - could any expert help us out? |
The Real Wizard 23.01.2008 18:56 |
First off... it's definitely not a bootleg. This hasn't been released on any bootleg label that I'm aware of. It was strategically taped at a fan convention. Remember, not all unreleased recordings are bootlegs. In fact, most of them aren't. It's not a bootleg until some company tries to make money off it. This video is definitely a pro shot, but just a single camera. Other cameras were also filming (there is multi-cam footage on The Magic Years and Rare Live), and this is just one of the raw angles - a compilation of all three nights. It was edited together like this for some reason from more complete master tapes. Many versions have been seen floating around over the years (some without the QTV logo), but all have the same content. Hope this helps! |
SCOM 23.01.2008 19:28 |
This is a proshot recording. The number of cameras is one but is proshot |
queenside 23.01.2008 20:45 |
thanks sir gh on info. great, great show, also very nice quality |
Raf 23.01.2008 21:08 |
Thanks a lot, Sir GH! But why exactly would someone make a 2-night mix from ONE of many cameras and show it to the fans? Doesn't sound like the nicest "present" to offer a fan. |

<font color="lime">Raf840 wrote: But why exactly would someone make a 2-night mix from ONE of many cameras and show it to the fans? This video is definitely a pro shot, but just a single camera. Other cameras were also filming (there is multi-cam footage on The Magic Years and Rare Live), and this is just one of the raw angles.Spot on Bob. A poor ,many generation ,2nd angle from the left side is also available of the 1st...rare but obtainable if you search hard enough ;) I also hear that the stage right cam footage is locked up somewhere as that has all the REAL DEAL decent footage. It was to be an officially released pro-shot for 79 but after examining the footage ,again the idea was shelved.....then swiped....lol. ANY version that does not have the QTV logo from the front cam is a cropped re-encoded version (as a heads up to all) ,& it wasn't 16.9 Widescreen either...lol. Mould will appear on any proper DVD if that version is placed near them. |

Thanks Ginger - that's me up to 97.5% - there are another couple of seeders (plus another leecher who has bits I apparently don't) but it's only dribbling in at 5 k/s. Can't understand as my port forwarding is all fine - other torrents are going at decent speeds. And for some reason I'm not downloading from you at all. Bit strange, but I'll get there by later tonight. |

I found it on a filehosting / blogger kind of site where I downloaded 99% of it. I've hopped on to seed with that 99% and got my md5 checksums with the 1% I needed to complete that verify I've got the same fileset to share. So, I'm seeding right now, too! Thanks to posters and hosters and people who share! Thanks to fellow tapers and filmers who make it all happen! Thanks to artists that realize us fans that want all concert tapes already have shown our love to them with our wallets and have bought their albums / concert tickets / t-shirts / etc and allow us to share this music!
