tonight at the Sandbar i helped set a new world record for a "quiz" night.
all across Cornwall there were simultanious quizzes taking place in bars and pubs in association with the EDEN PROJECT and their "the edge" campaign, the quiz was all about Cornwall and people associated with the area so there is good news and more good news and on my part very bad news *hangs head in shame*
good news1: we set a new world record with the amount of people doing the quiz
good news2: the team i was in won our pub quiz
bad news: there were 2 questions on Queen and i got one wrong *hangs head further in shame*
question 1:which member of Queen grew up in Cornwall? i think we all know that one...
question 2: in what band was he in when he performed in Perranporth? i wrote "the cousin jacks" but of course it was "the Reaction"
feel free to get the stocks ready and pelt me with week old Ginsters pasties,i dont know how i can live with the shame...
and to think i call myself a Queen fan
Joxer, we all get things wrong in our life. Yours just happened to be in public and about a band you love and cherish.....
But nevermind because you still won!!!

I've already told you, but congratulations harem master!!!
And don't worry about the guy who was giving you shit for getting the answer wrong...we'll get him back when I get there in just over a week.

Aww, a quiz record sounds better than the one I helped set, a few years ago was part of the "largest gumboot (wellington) race". I tell ya, running 1k in gumboots kills your calf muscles.
Good on ya anyway! To make you feel better, I was at a quiz evening last year and my history teacher was at the table opposite me, I got more history ones right than her XD (and I was 'A' for Average last year)
