Just read it on brianmay.com and i thought i'd post but you beat me to it can't wait for this it looks like it's a new arrangement they've made, and judging by bri's comments on the soapbox it's going be great.
That must be why they said on the qpr website about registering email so to download the track.
Roll on saturday.
I think the tour may still be on.
Why would you need to register for the download when they are going to make it available to all on the various websites. The original post says register on queenonline or queenpluspaulrodgers.
The download is going to be avavilable more widely that taht I think. Given that it will also be on (according to the brianmay.com post) 46664.com and paulrodgers.com.
Looking forward to Saturday. I think this may just be the start of some good news over the next few weeks/months.
Anyway I guess only time will tell.
Roger is going to be on BBC1 Breakfast in 5 mins talking about Say Its Not True. They have been playing a short clip with Pauls vocal already this morning. Sound a lot fuller / bigger that the acoustic version.
Thanks a lot, Thomas! Is it me or were you a first?!
As for the song, well, after my first listening, my impression is that the slow part is too long and strangely produced, specially Roger's and Brian's vocals. Their vocals are somewhat "phased" (is that the term?) and I didn't dig it at first.
Strangely engough, I liked better Paul's vocals. The second part seemed wonderful, but waay to short. Maybe too much guitars, in the sense that they seemed to bury the rest (is this really me writing?). Well, it might grow on me.
Cheers,
Ogre-
PS: I am SO glad they used "magic COCKTAILS", instead of "magic potions". This is much better and this is the way it was first sung in South Africa, before the 46664 overdubs.
I've got the same impression as you : there's an effect on Roger and Brian's voices wich is totally unnecessary and it does indeed sounds weird. I also prefer Roger's live vocals wich are not as soft as on this studio track. Rodgers does a great job on the track but I think that there are too many guitars coming on the same time when he's singing his part. The last thing I can complain about is the "lazy" use of synths where real strings could have sounded much better.
But believe me, I really like this song ;)
Yeah, Roger's vocals are better when rougher. I kind of liked the track too, but we're talking Queen here, and I had no shivers as yet, after 3 complete listenings.
Oh, well, I guess I'll loop the second part on a 10 min track and see what happens, then :)
I'm amazed, I love the original tune, Brian sung a whole verse and it did almost nothing to me. Jee, am I too old? ;)
Cheers,

Well, that's the bitrate I'd have expected for free. My question is "how much do we have to donate to get a lossless version", although I think technically the better question would be "have or will EMI circulate promos?"
I LOVE this version! It's a nice little song that I didn't particularly feel was worthy of an album slot and certainly didn't seem a good single, but man oh man did they jazz it up.
I really, really love it how all three sing different spots. This started with Let Me Live a little and was really spectacular with the Hyde Park playing of Imagine. I hope they do more of this.
My only complaint is that I feel teased and want an album release date as soon as possible.
