Since 2000-2001 everywhere all said, that this demo length is about 10 min.long...
So,when we all hear it from 2006 convention(Italy)(link or
:link Brooks says that it is small demo with one verse, small ideas etc.But i'm 100% sure that there is at least one more verse.
So i'm asking where is the truth ???
I really wanna hear the answer from someone that had truly heard it in a full version.
It isn't 10 minutes. I've been saying this for years. But some people rather believe the myths.
Greg played some takes after eachother, and people probably thought it was just one take.

I've made this mp3 here, which is basically the same thing that was shared here before as part of the long mp3 file of the entire '06 convention session - just with a slight cut between the two "takes".
It's definitely the same backing track on both "takes", but the first take just begins a bit later, with the guitar intro cut (as heard in the second take). On the second take, there is another vocal of Freddie overdubbed on top. From 2:17 onward, it is a pure repeat.
So, the question is... is this mish-mashing of the two Freddie vocals the work of Greg?
Yes, but the convention version(s) did differ from some other takes that are out there.
There is a version that is longer then the roughly 3 min. plus version that out there now, but NOT ten minutes - that's indeed a wind-up.
Even though we've all heard it now, I believe it's still my duty to request it every now and then, as Patron Saint of FIA Requests.
PS. Lossless thanks.
"ALL 15 BCC tracks will be in the Queen box
- 1st Queen box expected at end of NEXT year, format yet unknown "
So funny, considering this was said in 2001
This,"song,"(is it really a song?) was mentioned in George Purvis' book, which mentioned that it was mostly Freddie singing and playing piano.
What little I've heard also showcases some positively spectacular guitar sound.
I'm not certain if hearing the entire version would leave me feeling satisfied, or, wishing there'd been enough material to craft a finished song. Also, it really doesn't sound, to me, like a demo. The sound quality sounds almost as if someone just had a tape recorder sitting in the room. Still, it IS hauntingly beautiful, both the vocals, and, the guitar. A very wrenching sort of melody, that stays with you long after hearing it.
Well, everythin added together it's 10 minutes. But loads of songs in the archives are much longer then the version we know. Because it has either several takes, some tuning up, some jamming, etc...
There is about 15 minutes of Somebody to Love - but that does not mean that there is 'a 15 minute version of STL out there'.
Same with FIA: there's several takes of the song. If you add them you get about ten minutes, sure. But you get the same part repeated three times. One instrumental, one with lalala-vocals and one with proper vocals.
So the song is not ten minutes long, there is ten minutes worth of material from the recordingsessions for the song.

So it's 1988 or 1990 session?
Listening to the instruments that are being used and Brian's guitarsettings, I'd say it's more close to Miracle-sessions then Innuendo sessions.

What about
- The Queen archive has 4000 tapes!!! 3/4 is safety copies or work-copies though
So 1000 (or so) tapes of different stuff? That's not what Greg said, and this was from Brianmay.com.
