Queen’s one of my favorite bands — the theatrics! Freddie Mercury’s my favorite vocalist of all time. - Ryan Ross.

Do you also get some "WTF?" faces when you tell them Brian and Roger are still active? And do some of those people ask if they weren't dead as well...? I wonder if it's like that in the whole country, or if my city really sucks... xD

You're not the only one. We get that here, too. O.o
The usual response I get is "Who's that?"
I sometimes get, "You mean the band?"
And nobody at my school seems to know who Freddie Mercury is when they see his name written on my backpack with hearts and a Queen button. I've had to describe who he is to many people.
I've had one person tell me Queen is their favorite band though. That made me extremely happy.

I only get the homophobic twits saying that now... who I'm actually trying to eliminate from my life... it's tough but one day my world will be free of twits!
It seems to me, in Moscow every child knows who is Mr. Mercury & Queen. Let it will be always.

I Live in Colorado, at my high school a lot of people had much younger parents than myself and they hear "Queen" they say "WHO?" it's outrageous. Many people know Queen because of Waynes World and Bohemian Rhapsody, I've actually had to list several songs before they knew who I was listening to or talking about. Irritating really.

Agree!! They only know some fucking new bands and nig(sin)gers and they call that's music!?!? As if they know who Bush is, but never heard of Kennedy =D (just for example)
