This is not the programm I'd like to have.
Only the complete original songs extract from the dvd.
I'd like to know if I can get only the vocals, only the piano for example.
Can somebody tell me where I can get such a programm.
I think everyone would like to have a program like that, and as far as I know, there isn't any.
And the only song that has a clear vocal from freddie is play the game, and even that one has guitar on it.
I guess there might be some software that does it, but it is either unknown or expensive. There is always the old way to do it, just pluging the dvd player audio out to your computer's audio in. Painfull, but effective, even though you loose some quality.

think we've been down this road before.....only way to do it properly is with the original mastertapes...anything else...no matter how good the software, will always leave some artefacts

What you say is a fact. I meant that you can record each channel of a 5.1 recording separately.
That does not mean that you will end up with the original mastertape recorded channels. This is impossible.

First rip the DVD (or at least the required chapter) with DVDDecrypter in IFO mode, selecting only the 5.1 AC3 file.
Later open the 5.1 AC3 in beSweet and save it as 6 mono wav files.
Easy and free

Or just use Dvd Audio Extractor to get the 6 mono wav files straight away.
