The Beach Boys with the album The Beach Boys, from 1985. It all went very wrong there. Synthesizers?! Drumcomputers?! And above all, very crappy songs. I kinda like the song California Calling, with Ringo Star on drums. But that is really it... |

Four vinyl sides of monotone, distorted guitar feedback will always be four vinyl sides of monotone, distorted guitar feedback: Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music should not even be considered 'music'. But according to Lou himself -whom I regard very highly by the way- it can only be understood right under the influence of speed. Hmmm... Never tried that... |

The worst album? I remember once, back in the 70's going in to Woolworths and browsing through their record collection. It was all old vinyl in those days. I remember coming across a record called Fire and Water. Splattered across the cover was the word "Free". Well, not one to look a gift horse in the mouth I took the "gift" and walked out of Woolworths to take my bargain home. Obviously I never made it past the elevator before I was stopped. It turns out that it wasn't Free at all but rather ambitiously priced at £1.99. Just a note of caution to everyone out there. Don't always believe what you read on the label. |

This was interesting, Worst album by great bands: 1. Bob Dylan, “Down In the Groove” 2. Rolling Stones, “Dirty Work” 3. David Bowie, “Tonight 4. Van Morrison, “Beautiful Vision” 5. The Clash, “Cut the Crap” 6. Neil Young, “Old Ways” 7. Van Halen, “Diver Down” 8. The Who, “Face Dances” 9. Elvis Costello, “Mighty Like A Rose” 10. Red Hot Chili Peppers, “One Hot Minute” 11. Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, “American Dream” 12. Aerosmith, “Rock in a Hard Place” 13. Lou Reed, “Mistrial” 14. Morrissey, “Kill Uncle” 15. Led Zeppelin, “Presence” -- Rolling Stone I have 2, 3, 7, 9, 11, and 15. But I'd have to go with Kenny G Live. |

REO Speedwagon "The Earth, A Man, A Dog'.....aww, sh*t, it goes something like that. Any U2 album since 'Achtung Baby' (yes I've seen the debates here. Other than one or two songs per CD, they suk). 'Rattle and Hum' has some great stuff, but was a huge disappointment. Freddie Mercury 'Mr. Bad Guy'...from the cover, to half of the lame disco influenced garbage, it stunk. And still does. Journey ....anything in the late 80's. Genesis 'Calling All Stations'...wtf?? Kiss 'The Elder'...yup Queensryche 'Tribe'...lazy, lazy, lazy Jethro Tull ' A Passion Play' Dream Theater 'Systematic Chaos' and 'Train of Thought'............Metallica meets Journey. anything Mika, Brittany, the artist formerly known as talented after 89,......... |

With all the "Vertigo" fashion, the song playing everywhere, people buying the Vertigo iPod, people talking about the Vertigo tour nonstop, the Vertigo live from Chicago DVD selling out, etc I kinda had the impression the whole album was just a collection of "fillers" to go with Vertigo and make them some money. But once people "calmed down" and forgot about it for a bit, I realised the album is very good, actually better than some of their previous work (Pop, Zooropa, [hate me now] and October - October is very good, but it kind of bores me).<font color="lime">Raf840 wrote:I loved 'All That You Can't Leave Behind'.
