Hello everybody,
It seems that I agree with everybody in here. What a hell of a good job here !!!
My problem (which is maybe shared with other users) is that my computer has been given to me by my boss, I work from home you know. And as I have to connect myself to my company's computers via internet, my computer has been modified, and some things were blocked, like Peer-to-peer. That's also the xase of the bittorrent thing that I unfortunately can't use... And I see all these gigs shared and I can't benefit from it too !!! So maybe it could be great to make a separate list for gigs that are shared with bittorrent and those that are more easily downloadable, like on rapidshire or mediafire or these sorts of things.
Maybe someone could help in here ?
Well, indeed that's a very very useful job done here, a very fantastic thing, truely !
You Queenzoners are the best fans on the Music planet, and I'm really happy to be a Queen fan when I see that sort of things done....
So great !!
Queen rocks, we roll !!!!
Thanks a lot.
Bye,
Olivier,
France.
Well, that's nice from you !
In fact I was searching on queenzone what live concerts I could find in order to expand my collection. I began collecting factory-pressed bootlegs and vinyls bootlegs, and then I met a new way of searching these concerts, via queenzone, using the date of the gigs more than the name of the boots. So I don't really know what to search for !!! You know, with these boots, dates aren't always that good and so on...
I just had the opportunity to buy an external hard disk, so I tried to get the more files available (it's time to leave definitely mp3 files on the side!! viva flac format !! well, this has already been said).
I saw that a lot of gigs were shared via torrents, and a few ones only with rapidshare and mediafire mainly. I just got some of them. It's now difficult for me to sort all my files until I grab them. But please tell me what are the shows you could put on rapidshare, and I'll tell you what are the shows that could interest me.
To your knowledge, I for the moment own those bootlegs (I only talk about factory-pressed CDs as I can't transfer my vinyls on the computer, I don't have a turntable yet, my previous one decided to die some years ago... so sad... rest in peace!).
So here is the list:

Well, these are the non-mp3 files I already have.
Maybe I could try and complete these gigs with other gigs from the seventies (to be more structurate, let's begin with the first ones !) that I don't already have !
If you see something that could interest me, please fell free to warn me !
Thanks a lot you beautiful Queenies,

OOps I forgot to say that I also very recently got the following gigs ;

Thanks !

Is that all? Such a short list...
If your boss gives you a PC to work with, don't complain about any restrictions on that PC. Save up, but a cheap PC of your own and use THAT to download torrents.
Are companies really giving PCs to workers who they also pay so little to that they can't afford a £300 PC?
Yes they do... You should tell it to my boss !! lol
Anyway I try and save some money in order to buy myself a computer and open an internet line on my own, but hey, it's not that easy, believe me !!! I would have done it long before if I could, it's a long time now since I read your lines on queenzone, without being able to participate in this (sometimes) interesting meeting of fans. You people are being watched, take care, ah ah !
Well, I was not only thinking about me, but also to other people that can be in the same position as I am, without the capacity to start using torrents. It would be great to have those gigs always available somewhere on a rapidshare-sort-of-website, and not on torrent, because what I can see is that even with torrents the files are not always easy for everyone to get in their entirety, and they are sometimes available for a "limited" time, when someone wants to get it later, and come back on a tread and try to download, the files are not available (tell me if I'm wrong or not, because as I can't use this format, I only try to understand what is said on queenzone, and my english is not always that good and can get me wrong!).
Anyway, even in torrent format, we have with queenzone a perfect tool to compare, share and get information about a lot of things on our four Queen men and their work, that's a great pleasure to see that, even such a long time after what was to be the end of a band, the stories are always told and the dream of a man became true : to be remembered as a legend, and all that ego thing (no negative feeling in that). He must be really self-satisfied up there (well if he is up there) when he sees the lights of the queenzoners modems and computers up and the fingers quick on the keyboards...
Well that's not the thema of the day. I just wanted to express my thoughts, and know if everybody shares it or not. I know that putting all those files on rapidshare or even a simple website is a complicated thing and a hard long task. So I know that could not be done. And some gigs must not be shared, I clearly understand that some of them have a great value and can't be accessed this way, but when someone put a torrent file to be downloaded, it could be great that someone then put the files back on rapidshare. That could be worthy to everyone this way, and, when a gig is being shared on queenzone, it would be fait that it stays available quite a long time after that for everybody. And people could stop asking for gigs that were already shared too, I think queenzone could gain in it.
Well, that was my point of view, but I surely fon't have all the cards in hand to see if all said here is correct and fair, maybe there are some things that I missed, and then torrent is better than rapidshare etc...
Anyway, now I spoke a lot, let's share our points of views on it if you want it to.
Bye !
Olivier,
France.
