Went to see Metallica last week at Wembley Stadium. They were on absolute top form. Im guessing Im one of a select bunch to see them both at the old and new Wembley as I saw them at the Freddie Tribute in 92, their only othe appearance there.
By the way, that stadium is collosal, worth every single penny.
This is the set list...
01. Creeping Death
02. For Whom The Bell Tolls
03. Sad But True
04. Disposable Heroes
05. The Unforgiven
06. ...And Justice For All
07. The Memory Remains
08. The Four Horsemen
09. Orion
10. Fade To Black
11. Master of Puppets
12. Battery
13. No Leaf Clover
14. Nothing Else Matters
15. One
16. Enter Sandman
17. Whiplash
18. Seek and Destroy
Personally I would much rather hear 'Blackened', 'Wherever I May Roam', 'Ride The Lighting', 'King Nothing' or 'Sanitarium' instead of 'No Leaf Clover' or 'The Memory Remains'.
Yet, this set list looks awesome. Good to see that 'Disposable Heroes', 'and Justice For All', and 'Orion' got included on the set list.
I found this video on You Tube: link
Looks like HIM wasn't very welcomed as an opening act. That was a very bad choice considering that HIM is an emo band, and emos and hard core metalheads don't mix well. Metallica should have rather picked a metal band that's not so well known on the mainstream.
I heard from somewhere that James Hetfield was put aside at some airport in the UK for looking like a terrorist. It must have been that beard of his, or whatever you want to call it.
By the way, I love Metallica.
