No, I mean Jeff Scott Soto. A year ago Jeff stepped in when Steve Augeri, who replaced Steve Perry almost 10 years ago, had throat problems. In December of 2006 Journey announced that Jeff was their new lead singer. About a month ago, the band abruptly announced that they were going in a "different direction" and that Jeff was no longer their lead singer. Certain members of Journey as well as the band's management handled the situation very unprofessionally. I've seen Journey four times in the past few years--with Steve Augeri and with Jeff Scott Soto. They were both good, but Steve had to stop performing. Jeff brought a whole new energy to the gigs. So, no. I meant Jeff, who replaced Steve Augeri in 2006, who replaced Steve Perry in 1998.

That show was OK, if you like rain....lots and lots of rain....and lightning.....and rain. Did I mention, it rained. Started off sideways, then straight down, then sideways again. Was fun for about 15 minutes. Oh, and Joe Elliott can't sing a lick anymore.

Funny how Jeff couldn't hit the high notes. Remember Don't Stop Believin'? That was Deen singing the high notes, NOT JEFF. That was the reason for letting him go. In fact "going different directions" is band-speak for "dude, you're just not hitting it." Rumour has it, since the Sopranos paycheck, Steve P and J Cain have been in conversations. That is all I have.

I was wondering if you went this year. I do remember it raining on that day and thinking, "damn I'm glad I couldn't go!" hahahaha!!!! I hate being on that lawn in the freaking rain. Poor Joe. :( Hijack: I'm going to be buying a new car soon, you're at a dealership right?
