Somewhere in there is debate about the authenticity of an "electric piano" version of Nevermore :)
Hmm...an "electro" version of Nevermore, anyone?
(I understand this almost always requires vocal to be separated from the usual instrumentation and this may not be possible at all given the versions of Nevermore that actually exist...)
I hear ya. To be honest I've got a folder full of remixes I've started but haven't found the time to finish lately. Once I've got some down time though I might just try something out. An intriquing idea though and I'm already thinking how it could be done.
Thanks for the recent podcast too! Though I have to say a few of those remixes are pretty harsh on the old earlobes.
When your Backchat came out, I remembered I had quite a few Hot Space-based remixes from back in the wild years of digital remixing. Why, in those days, we used to have to spend *days* rendering WAV files -- ok not really.
But to get serious for a moment -- does "harsh on the ear(lobe)s" equal something technical I can change when putting them together in the master 'cast?
I'm guessing you just mean you don't like some of the actual individual remixes themselves, which is of course perfectly fair and you shouldn't be harrassed for holding such an opinion. Meanie :)
I love the podcasts, don't get me wrong and technically they're well done. It's just I have a preferance for more musical mixes as opposed to 'experiments in sound' which is how I'd class a good majority of the tracks on the recent cast... ya know? Keep up the good work ern2150.
