I finally managed to upload the torrent file. So here is the same show as the one that is on Dimeadozen – ready to download for all Queenzoners without an account there. It's absolute identical apart from the names of the folder and the torrent file. Format is FLAC, MD5 data is included. Here is the original info: Queen Germany, Berlin, Deutschlandhalle January 24th, 1979 Trade CDR > WAV (Lossless check) > Jet Audio > FLAC Level 8 Disc 1 01 Overture 02 We Will Rock You (fast) 03 Let Me Entertain You 04 Somebody To Love 05 Death On Two Legs 06 Killer Queen 07 Bicycle Race 08 I'm In Love With My Car 09 Get Down, Make Love 10 You're My Best Friend 11 Now I'm Here 12 Don't Stop Me Now 13 Spread Your Wings 14 Dreamer's Ball 15 Love Of My Life 16. '39 Disc 2 01 It's Late 02 Brighton Rock / Brian & Roger Solo (with Dead On Time riff) / Brighton Rock Finale 03 Fat Bottomed Girls 04 Keep Yourself Alive (with Fun It Intro) 05 Bohemian Rhapsody 06 Tie Your Mother Down 07 Waiting For Queen 08 Sheer Heart Attack 09 Waiting For Queen 10 We Will Rock You 11 We Are The Champions 12 God Save The Queen Review: Great performance from this concert in Berlin 1979 during the European jazz tour. A complete concert without cuts or sound dropouts. Some slightly pops can be heard in some spots but nothing to worrie about. The soundquality is Very Good/Very Good+ so it is very enjoyable. The concert was a slightly bit recorded to loud so it has a bit distortion. Most of the distortion is on disc 1 as disc 2 has a slightly better soundquality. Freddie says before the start of the song Love Of My Life '' Roger and John are gonna have a rest backstage...I think they are gonna get there usual blowjobs...You know what blowjob is?...Some of you do, okay ''. Sounds very funny. (link Nearly excellent sound. Only thing that reduces the rating is the distortion especially on CD1. You can only notice it if you use headphones so it's not that bad. Very clear sound with no hiss, whatsoever. A very low generation copy. Nice to hear few lines from Fun It during the intro to Keep Yourself Alive. It was never performed live but only the first few verses during KYA intro. God Save The Queen is cut but otherwise a complete concert. This one has slightly better sound than the Breakdown Records release "Jazzin' For Deutschland". (link |

Downloading from DAD is sooooo much faster! I was able to complete the download in about 30 minutes. Downloading from Queenzone is always so so slow. Very slow. From DAD, I get speeds up to 900 kbs. It will be like 30 or 40 with Queenzone torrents and it always starts off slow for some reason. I wonder if it is the lack of high speed connections. I'm running 30Mbps download/5Mbps upload. |

It's so fast, because usually there are dozens of peers, not only a handful hit-and-runners like on Queenzone. You know why that is? Because they have a ratio policy – you have to upload at least 25% of the amount you download to be able to start further downloads. Here on QZ many leechers leave when they're finished and don't care about the community, just because they aren't forced to. |

Hey Nummer2, Im helping you seed, but Im not showing any seeders although I am seeding at about 50kbs. aside from the folder name, did you change anything else? |
Nummer2 11.05.2007 09:51 |
Hmmmm, no, I didn't. I'm seeding at 50 kB/s, about 600 MB uploaded yet. There are two folders "Disc 1" and "Disc 2", the "info.txt" and the "QUEEN - Germany, Berlin, Deutschlandhalle January 24th, 1979.md5". Should be like the original. I'll keep on seeding for a few days, and the following shows as well: Himeji 76 Immigrant Magic Berlin 86 Sapporo 79 Kassel 82 Cleveland 77 |

Oh, I do. But I'm behind a firewall, and that seems to have the effect that I can only seed to other DHT clients (like µtorrent or Azureus). But as soon there is the right peer downloading, my upload speed goes up like a rocket ;-) At the moment, there's traffic on the Himeji, Cleveland and Berlin 79 torrents. No peers visible on Berlin 86, Sapporo and Kassel. |

I'm downloading Himeji 76, Kassel 82 and Berlin 86, no seeders in anyone.. cheers |

What torrent client do you use? I'm definitely seeding those shows and I have already uploaded several GB of data, but at the moment no peers are connected. I'll restart the torrents, maybe that will help. |

I use Bit Lord, i don't see any seeders cheers |

The amazing ingratitude of so many people who download and NEVER bother to share back. When I share a DVD of over 4 GB and only every 10th downloader helps seeding I am so frustrated that I think about stopping each time. I know that we lose many good sharers only because of these grabbers and runners. We have these amazingly kind people and tiredless sharers on QZ - it's a shame that there are so many leeches who never even reseed a torrent. @ SebasMercury: have you tried uTorrent? It's free and easy and you get always a connection. |

But again it happens, like on this torrent, when it was in early progress, there were 3 seeds and up to 34 peers, now there are only 21 peers and 5 total seeds. I guess thats life. |

After talking so much about the technical side, what about discussing the musical aspects of the show? Here's my opinion about this show, after listening to it twice: I love the live killers era (imo, 1977 to 1981 saw the most powerful performances and the best setlists), but this particular show is definitely not the best. Freddie seems to struggle a bit through the first songs, especially "Now I'm Here" is very loose and lacks inspiration, it's definitely the worst interpretation of this song through the Live Killers tour (from the 7 or 8 shows I know). And the "rhythm group" doesn't have their best evening either. It's getting better towards the middle of the concert, especially "Spread Your Wings" is wonderful, and "Keep Yourself Alive" is one of the best versions I know. But BoRhap suffers again from Freddie's voice and timing problems. The audience is very enthusiastic, it seems, but it doesn't help much. I am often deceived by the sound quality – a perfect sounding show always seems to be a better performance – but in this case I doubt that an excellent sound would save the show. This is my own personal opinion, if somebody likes to tear it apart (or contribute in any other way), please do so ;-) |

But I actually like the version of NIH, as they do the vocal thing with the audience to tempo twice. Very unexpected! |

Actually I'm seeding Kassel 82 and Berlin 86. No idea why I don't upload anything at the moment (I did at some time, but not now). May be it's because I'm firewalled. But if you use µtorrent, it should work! I'm also seeding Sapporo and Berlin 79. The Berlin 79 torrent is uploading and connected to 3 peers, 2x µtorrent, 1x Mainline. I'll never understand this torrent thing ... |
