Hammy 75 should be released by QP. the video and sound quality on this show is incredible, throw in some anato era interviews for a truly stellar piece of round plastic. on second thought, throw in Hammy 79 aswell, and some interveiws from the Jazz era. then agian, it IS the 30th anniversery of News of The World this year, I won't be surprised if a News era show is released instead. knowing the way Queenies are treated, we will only get that QPPR crap this year. don't get me wrong, I love Paul, just not with Queen. "I want my Hammy 75 dammit, in surround sound, I already have the boot version, hd-dvd/bluray too. gimmie my friggin Hammy QP." |

My vote goes to "Earl's Court 1977" The set list is great! |

Hammersmith 1979. Queen the top band of that time. |

Hammersmith '79 is indeed the best out there on a show quality/video+audio quality basis, as far as we know. However, Greg stated that Queen Productions has 'lost' the audio multitrack, so they want that recovered first, then they are willing to release it, due to great demand. |

I mean, Queen can't go round publishing a DVD that'd get an X-rating, and I can't see much else happening considering the fact that he fucked a roadie on-stage during "Get Down, Make Love". The looks of jealousy in Roger's eyes were priceless, though. |

Haven't actually seen hammy 79 yet. but if the visual quality is as good as say, Wembley 86, then I am all for it. I personally think that Freddie had to not only be vocally but also charismatically at his peak during the filming of the next relese. I think that we need a show that is the Live Aid of the 70s, Freddie had so much charisma during Live Aid, if one of the 70s concerts was judged to be like this, then it would easily be a bestseller. |
AmeriQueen 29.03.2007 03:27 |
1.) A complete Hammersmith '79 concert 2.) Earl's Court '77 3.) Houston '77 4.) Rainbow '74 5.) Budapest '86 |

Plus, the lighting is far superior to Wembley. - Hammersmith '79 is noted as being one of Freddie's best vocal performances ever, and is certainly a gig with the whole band in prime shape - The audience was fine during the show. |

well then TQ, I will have to drag my bootleg folder out and see if I have it, cause that certianly sounds highly watchable. |

I would like to see some NotW-material get released, I'm dying to hear a live version of It's Late... But Hammersmith Odeon '75 is genious. Best version of Ogre Battle there, as far as I'm concerned. But the show is kinda short... |

Is Hammersmith '79 available as a torrent? For some reason I've never actually seen that one yet. |
eiricd 17.07.2007 08:11 |
Audio / video wise the obvious choice is budapest and the fortcoming motreal after that it will be interesting to see what they choose to put out. as far as I know, they will have no more concert shot on film, so it could be anything my guess is that Hammersmith 75 / Rainbow 74 will he released as one, seeing as they are both pretty short gigs and I think Hammersmith 79 will be released alone, together with highlights from the 79 tour (paris, japan..) and of course; in between this, I'm sure Queen & Paul will do more concerts and release live dvds... |
The Real Wizard 17.07.2007 19:24 |
What I'd like to see: Rainbow 74, Earls Court 77, and Paris 79. ...if enough footage and audio exists from these shows (maximum 7 nights between the 3 venues), of course. But for commercial reasons, I doubt we'll see Rainbow, since there aren't too many hits on there. |
deleted user 17.07.2007 19:51 |
In no particular order: 1.) Rainbow Theater '74 2.) Earl's Court '77 (or Houston '77) 3.) Hammersmith '79 I would like the Hyde Park gig, too ('76), but from what I've seen or heard, the quality of the recording isn't good (maybe it's because fans did it?). |
Mustapha_Ibrahim 17.07.2007 20:24 |
I always had a thing for the Rainbow '74 concert =) |

Sir GH

ah yeah
wrote: Paris 79.Yes!! There are so many songs from those series of concerts that have never seen the light of day in a proper video release. Fred's voice may have been a bit shot but those concerts were excellent. I would say Hammy 79, but the setlist is very tired. We've had similar setlists on the On Fire release and on the We Will Rock You release (and on the upcoming re-release). I would also throw Houston 77 in there as well just for a chance to see more footage from the tour as bonus material. |

Something from 1980 or 1984 but I don't think there is much pro shot from those years... |

I agree with neppset regarding NOTW era tour. But Budapest is still best regarding quality of sound and performance. Altho I'd never argue against Hammersmith 79. |
