OMFG, NOOOO!!!
I have to finnish up an essay during the next 3,5 hours, and I have a SERIOUS writers block D:
I have to write about the meaning of a poem, and what it can tell us today, and I all I can come up with is TRASH!
I'm usually a good writer, and I've never tired this SHIT before :'(
I am SO frustrated, that I'm itterally at the edge of tears.. Nothing has been working for me lately, and now THIS???
Not sure if you're still blocked, but I find what helps me is writing something else. Anything. Even if it's the words, "I can't think of anything to write." If you just free-write for 10 - 15 minutes, you'll be surprised how it opens your mind. Don't think, just write. No pressure. Try it.
Good luck.
If I get to the point of such frustration that I start crying (or feel like it), this is a good indication that I am pretty tired. I once made it a practice to never send an email at night because everything seemed to take longer compared to doing it in the morning.
On the other hand, this might be a poem that was too difficult to understand or interpret and your teacher might be testing the students to see how they handle an "impossible" situation. If this is the case, keep your cool and "work it" by letting the teacher know just how much you have learned from them and how valuable they are as an educator. Ha. Good luck.
Edit: If this is "impossible" then write about that. You could write down some ideas you had and then discuss why you were not sure of them. List the reasons you were not sure. This would at least show that you thought about it.
That's not my problem.. I understand the poem perfectly well, because t's very simpel.. think that my problem is that I wanna be better than I am, and If I cant be, then I cant find a point in making an efford.. That is also why I hardly draw anymore.
I dont feel that my best is good enough..
I have to fill 1,5 computerwritten page..^
Aw, STRESS!!!!

When it is that I am wanting a piece of writing to take up the most space possible, I find that being wordy is truly a virtue - and it is also terribly fun to write in such a pompous and overly bombastic sort of way.
Also - though time is, it appears, is running low - you might desire to create an outline - and expand each point from there.
Also again, some of us would be glad to help if you offered the poem or showed what it is that you've got so far.
:D
You could try this:
Do the first draft in random-thought bullet points - or if your thoughts are not random, it might be helpful to do an outline of your ideas. These bullet points and/or outlined ideas can become your paragraphs.
At least you will have your ideas in front of you - before you start trying to compose the perfect sentence and paragraph.
Edit:
Ah, yes. I see this is a popular idea - the outline.
I also agree that it is good to write in a lot of detail. Especially when they bring it on themselves by assigning the number of pages in advance.
Just imagine the teacher having to yawn while reading it.
