Can anybody give me more information about this FM solo song, from the film ZABOU? When this song was recorded? Was it in 1987, at the same time of the "Prentender" cover? In my opinion is a very good song of Freddie, very nelodic, and is always forgotten in the "collections"...
It was recorded in Musicland studio (Munich) in 1986. Produced by Mack and Fred. Jo is "cat" from LOMO video... And actress besides that.
Single and OST have probably the worst covers ever in Queen history (if you forget on one minute about Las Palabras De Amor single cover).
Freddie and Jo dare NEVER even met. The song was recorded in two studios seperately, and put together and mixed later. There are NO recording sessions whatsoever, or pictures of the two together. I know, as i asked Greg Brooks that at last years convention, and both question and answer i have on tape. I love the song...
"Freddie and Jo dare NEVER even met."
Except for the fact that she's IN the video for "Living On My Own".
I know what you meant, I was just having some fun. ;)
I'm with Adam & Dan on this one. Deep down it's a good song but there's something too bombastic about the production.. background things get too loud and annoying. I think the duet itself could be quite fun if it had been mixed better.
Jo's voice reminds me a lot of Grace Slick.. very powerful.
imho it's a great song, freddie has good voice and jo does a great job.nothing bothering me on this song and imo it's better song than all the roger and brian solo songs together.
