Number 2 out of 10: 2. Paul Rodgers replaces Freddie Mercury in Queen (2005) A fairly recent development in popular music, but already likely to go down as one of the worst crimes against rock ever, the surviving members of Queen have taken to the road. Singing the tunes made famous by the late Freddie Mercury, certainly among the greatest lead singers of all time, is Paul Rodgers, formerly of Bad Company and Free. The thought of the leathery vocalist of "All Right Now" and "Feel Like Making Love" tackling "We Are the Champions" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" is probably what's responsible for the terrifying screams erupting from rock fans around the globe in recent months, who can only find solace in the fact that Rodgers does not even attempt the vocals on "Killer Queen." The group bills itself as Queen + Paul Rodgers, which is a little like Anthrax + Kenny G or N.W.A. + George Michael. |

Yeah, Paul Rodgers isn't really that good...But at least Queen has a singer so that Brian and Roger could still play together. x_x |

I don't know re: Ray Wilson on the list. I liked Ray Wilson. "Sign Your Life Away" rocked socks. I may be the only one, however. |

I don't think Paul is a horrible singer but I mean, come one, he can't sing anywhere near as good as Freddie. But of course no one ever will. When I saw them in Philadelphia, some guy screamed "Ready Paul" during CLTCL instead of "Ready Freddie" so I was forced to throw my soda at him. I wish Brian and Roger did all the singing. |

OK. They say that Sabbath == Ozzy, but Mr. Dio rocked Sabbath. In fact, I just came from a Dio show. One of the best voices ever. It is a shame that he only sings metal. When he sings other music styles it is very nice to hear his clear voice. Well, whatever: lists are shit. Surely they must be from Rolling Stone magazine. |

I F****in hate these kinds of lists... Its all biased shit anyways.... Paul Rodgers has one of the greatest voices ever. Doesnt top FREDDIE, but he doesnt try to be Freddie either. Hes got his own style... Which is great! Hes more bluesy and what not, love his voice. So F*** these people... I dont even bother with these lists anymore because i get pissed. I was watching the 100 GREATEST HARD ROCK ARTISTS OF ALL TIME on VH1 and QUEEN was only 13... Kiss beat them out okay?? Thats the kind of shit im talking about... KISS does Not Top Queen in anyway except in their egos and lunchbox merchandising... thats it... But then again, people would disagree with my top choices too. But come on, some of this is just common sense... |

brian, roger and paul are doing all that for money.. When Freddie died the Queen finished forever.. Queen is the band of 70s, 80s and early 90s ... And out of this answer is coming out one other answer... Why deaky is not with paul, roger, brian...? Deacon knows that all this shit with Paul is destroying the original Queen songs, the Queen charm, The Queen reputation...beacouse Queen is BY FIRST a BAND FROM THE 80s and Deacon is disgusted by all this... But in fact who cares... beacouse this is not Queen this shit with paul could be better called like this: "Brian and friends" or "Paul, Brian and friends" ... THIS IS NOT "Queen + Paul" ... this is shit.. |

^^ agreed. i cannot believe queen is not in the top ten, heck, in the top five. ugh. and deep purple why isn't it in the top ten?! why is nirvana up there anyway? aren't they grunge? i am pissed dahhhhlings. |
