Does anyone know anything about this? I'm thinking of getting it for my daughter. She's 10 and has a toy guitar she loves. She tries to play it but has no clue how - neither do I, so I can't help. This seemed cool. link
Opinions?
I would suggest going with a real guitar. You can download lessons online; get a 3/4 or 1/2 size nylon-string maybe? They are cheap enough. I think that maybe that Yamaha guitar is a bit of a gimmick; although Yamaha do make some really nice guitars.
Get her an acoustic and you'll see if shes into it cos she'll teach herself. Im self taught and Id never buy anything like that, Ive been playing for 15 years and its the best thing ive ever done. Go straight for a real guitar,
I'm now thinking what she has IS a 1/2 size nylon string. I called it a toy. :-/
I guess I fell for the gimmick. It sounded like something she could pick up and start playing. She reads music - piano. So, I'm guessing you're right about getting her a real guitar. I didn't know I could download lessons. That's cool. We can learn together.
Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it!
