saw it last night. i actually loved it! I loves Silas...i have a thing for the pathetic characters. but they wronged his death. they got it wrong... there were a few things they were a bit weird. but i really liked it. i wanna see it again, actually. like when i went to see charlie and the chocolate factory. i had to see it twice because there was SO MUCH stuff to take in... but da vinci i thought was truer to the book than other book-turned-movies that i've seen, like the harry potter movies. and i dont understand why people dont like Tom Hanks's hair...i like it...
I totally didn't buy that bit where Tom Hanks pushes Shredder into the trash compactor. And the dirt bike scene was pointless - like you need to go offroad on a dirt bike to escape angry priests...
Good flick though.
I thought the movie was brilliant! I saw it last night with some of my mates, and I screamed a few times when Silas popped in. :D I'd like to point out that none of that stuff is true, it's all fiction.. Makes for a damn good book and movie though!
I saw the movie on the very day when it was released(May 20th). Hmm...I was a little more tired and less satisfied when I left the theater's seat than I was when I finished the book for the first time...as I'd been worried since I finished the book, I thought it a kind of complicated movie bloated with lots of stuff (and explanations) for 2.5 hours-one, less thrilling in some places. But imo, actors almost did their best. I'm not sure if I'll see it again.

only 2 people went to the bathroom in our entire showing. yet it gets horrible reviews. odd, maybe the critsizers need to see dogma and death to soomchy so they know whats good (dogma) and bad (death to smoochy)

the chick is also hot, so no complaints here.
Sir "something",is Sir Ian MacKellen, he also plays Gandalf in Lord Of The Rings, he is a famous theater actor and has been nominated at least twice for an Academy Award.
