To all: In the past, the original ouija board consisted of an upside-down wine glass on a table with letters of the alphabet laid out in a circle around a table. Everyone would put their finger on the stand of the glass, and it was supposed to move "by itself" round the table after a question was asked to spell out the answer to the question. Ouija boards are only as powerful as YOU ARE. If you don't believe they work, they won't work. Likewise, your own belief that they are evil will make you bring something "out of hell". Your beliefs are not only the things you think on a conscious level. Your subconcious also contains your belief systems, fuelled by your own hidden fears, which will be just enough to create bad results from this activity. Therefore, it is my advise to leave this alone at all costs. There are good spirit people and bad ones, just like here on earth. Playing with instruments like ouija boards and EVP instrumentation, are not safe, because as before stated, there are good and bad spirits out there, and if you don't know what you're doing, you could bring something from the lower levels. There are spirits whose only mission is to harm, and the only way that they are able to do this is through the POWER THAT YOU GIVE THEM FROM YOUR OWN HIDDEN FEAR. This belief, to the sceptical mind is false, but I assure you, I have seen evidence of the evil that can be manifested by those who use these instruments improperly. Communication with the deceased should only be done by someone who is able to use their own body as an instrument, and someone who is experienced in such matters. A person who is able to use their own body as an instrument to communicate with the deceased is called a "medium". Ouija boards and EVP instruments are also "mediums", but unlike human beings, they are mechanical, and therefore, there is no real control over what comes through these. IT IS NOT A GAME. It is my advise to steer clear of using EVP instruments and ouija boards. The consequences could have lasting negative effects on your psyche, especially if you should find yourself face-to-face with your fear in the form of your worst nightmare. My brother and I made a Spirit-Contacting Contraption once and we contacted St. Peter. Or not. Actually, we are currently ammassing proof that I once walked through Freddie Mercury's ghost as a child in an effort to explain why I wanted school uniforms/to be sent to boarding school, a cat, fancy china, and to move to Japan - among other things. And once, I saw the devil. Or maybe that was just sleep paralysis. Same with the dancing doilies. |

Ok, we have fuckwits in both directions, that's clear. A Ouija board definitely does work, however, it's NOTHING to do with any supernatural mumbo-jumbo or spirits of the deceased. A Ouija board transfers subconcious notions to the board, making it a very interesting psychological item, but nothing more. |

I had a slightly odd experience with a Ouija board... Well, I was in year 8 at school (so I was about 12) and we (my class) slept over at school (don't ask, we were doing this 'Anne Frank for a day' thing and had to live on spam) Anyway ,our school, well it's a pretty old building and there were always odd things happening. A group of us thought it would be fun to do a Ouija board (this was probably at about midnight). A group of about 10 of us were sat there with our fingers on this plastic cup and started asking questions, it moved, we weren't freaked because we were quite aware that it was us moving it. Anyway we carried on and suddenly the cup swung off the board and everybody screamed, I turned around and saw in the corner of the room a misty figure curled up praying by the door and I have never been so freaked out in my life! We were completely terrified. It was so fucking scary. Ugh. So I really can't explain Ouija boards, I'm quite a sceptic person but that experience was too weird, I'm never going near one again. |
