hey
i was in Kensington with its_a_hard_life today shopping and because we was in the area we passed Freddie's house. We brought some flowers and wrote sweet messages to Freddie on a card.
Whilst we was there we noticed the Range Rover outside Garden Lodge had it's back window open so we pressed the buzzer to inform Mary that the window was open in case it was her car.
She answered and was really nice to us, i recorded the convo on my phone..i know she's not really 'famous' but OMG we couldn't believe we actually talked to Mary Austin!!!!!!!!!!!
..and those of you who think it's bad to go we didn't bother anyone...except for the car thing..
YAY! :P
xD
I was thinking of going down there, but for just seeing Garden Lodge it seems stupid. You don't see much, although Kensington is a very good place to shop.
I wonder how many people buzzes-in to Garden Lodge every day. It must annoy her at some point.
We both had tears in our eyes didn't we? That's just like one of the best birthday presents for you wasn't it? Talking to Mary....WOW....
I have talked to her twice on the buzzor now and met her twice when she was outside Garden Lodge. She's actually very nice!
You guys are so lucky to live so close to all this. I have to live in boring ol' Pennsylvania. Bleh. One day I'll move to England and get to go to Garden Lodge and talk to Mary on the buzzer!!

I know I am
I am! I don't think it's because of my love of Queen though. I pretty much don't want to live in the US when I grow up, and I don't think I'll ever be good enough at German to actually live there. :-D
I will someday end up in London for sure!

well??
I don't think it was hers..but then she did hesitate abit. Maybe she thought that if she said it was hers i'd try to steal it or something, lol.
And yes i did mention Freddie.. i said i just wanted to pay my respects to Freddie..looking back that was the most stupidest thing to say..lol..but it was the first thing that came in to my head!!
i wanted her to know i was there because of Freddie not just a passer by that noticed the car...
i made Queen fans look friendly and helpful, you owe me!! lol jks
don't any of you ruin our rep.!!!
I was there yesterday :P Saw some lady pass through the servants entrance. I really wanted to ring the bell, but didn't have the courage :D
Even though I didn't see much of the house, the feeling was pretty amazing to actually be there where Freddie had lived and died.

Let's compile a list of hotel rooms Freddie stayed in and visit them in chronological order and do crazy things like write on the Ritz's walls and lick their carpets (and possibly lamp shades).
