Hi everyone,
last night I watched ROTC on the German channel 3sat. And wow, amazing how old they look. Not so much Paul, but Roger really looks like he should be where Grandpa Simpson lives. With that strange hair cut and all that...
Unfortunately (?) we have so many videos and pictures of Queen, you can see them being much younger any time you want to. And then you put on Sheffield 2005, and you see three old guys that just don't know when to quit. Like the Rolling Stones or Paul McCartney. I even felt sorry for them in a way. Not that this post really needs a reply, I just wanted to say that, because this time it looked so obvious to me, how much they were and are aging. Even on Happiness? Roger looked so much better. I was thinking he'd have a heart attack any time. Sad...

Bollocks - physically they were all absolutely fit during that tour. What do you think you look like when 57 or 59 ? Bri has aged significantly good in a sense that he looks a lot like the old days. Rog used to be a bit chubby, but what the heck ?
Personal opinions about the Q+PR-thing aside, there's no way you could describe them as a "sad sight".
Since when did age preclude one's ability to perform music.
I saw them twice on the tour and I own ROTC on DVD. Age hasn't stopped them from playing. It has only awakened your prejudice.
Write back and tell us what you think when you're older.
A lot of musicians have proved that they can still rock out despite getting old. Take Pink Floyd at Live 8 for example. Or Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend.
yes they are nothing but a bunch of old greedy men now!
John Deacon is the only one that has some respect for Freddie...
What makes them think that they can pull off something that they did 20 years ago? WITHOUT THEIR LEAD SINGER ALSO! those old bastards!
GIVE IT UP ALREADY, YOU ARE NOT QUEEN, NO FREDDIE, NO JOHN= NO QUEEN!!!

And that's a fact. When I saw him perform at the 2005 Grammy Awards, he was amazing. Great shape, great voice, great style.
He's like, what, 63 now or something?
Either that or he's 64.

He'll be 64 on the 18th of June this year... ;) I'm such a Beatles freak.
Hmmm, so if they were 56 year old doctors or lawyers or accountants, should they quit because they're getting older? Ridiculous. Music and performing is what they do. They will know when it's time to just write, or produce or whatever in the music business but right now they can rock with the best of them (better) live and they had a blast doing it.
