Got given a "Great Pretender/Exercises In Free Love" 1987 Freddie Mercury vinyl on Sunday :D
Was chuffed to bits with it. I'd never heard EIFL before and love it!
Gave a fellow fan an original "News of the World" (in pretty fair condition, I might add...complete with inside sleeve) as an engagement present. The love-light in HIS eyes altered from bride to wax,...back to bride,...to wax,...
Bring Back the Vinyl!
Vinyl in 2008!!!
I love vinyl... I have all of Freddie's solo singles on vinyl, with the exception of his 're-releases' after his death (probably record companies way to cash in on his death!)... but I've got a lot of promos and singles of 'I Was Born To Love You' on vinyl especially.
I love vinyl and if I ever get to the point of selling many singles, it'll all be on vinyl. So it's "vinyl or nothing"
I have A Kind Of Magic on vinyl too, although I hardly listen to it ^^; Need to get my parents to show me how to use the turntable without messing it up lol.
I have Queen and Sheer Heart Attack on vinyl, but no LP player...I recieved them as gifts from a friend on my birthday. Creative gift, and makes me want to buy an LP player.
I don't use vinyl that much, but it does sound better than CDs. I would buy vinyl more if it was as widely available as CDs are and if there was an easier way of creating MP3 files from vinyl.
got rid of most of my vinyl now, recorded them through the pc onto disc.
Vinyl takes up too much room and is too easily damaged, still prefer the sound though.
