ok i just found out that in april this year a movie is going to be realised called
"flight 93"
a movie about 9/11, but mainly the full 90minuites is a recreation of what happened on board flight 93.
now i dont think its right to make a movie about 9/11 in any way, its a form of history that should be left and not made as movies, the documenarys we see on tv disturbing enough. what do you think?
the site for the movie: link link
paul greengrass is the director and hes the guy who did bourn supremecy and bloody sunday.
Greengrass is a superb director, and i feel he handled Bloody Sunday without biased and showed what really happened, with respect to all those who died, and if he were to make a film on 9/11 and what happened that day, he would do the same. But i agree that films about such horrible things should not be made.
Seeing it over and over on the news was bad enough, actually paying to see it in the theaters? I don't know. I just can't imagine. I worry that the more people see it the more desensitized they'll become about it.
HOWEVER, if it respects the lives and sacrifice of those on the plane, then maybe it can be viewed as a tribute.
???
I don't know. I'm torn. I do know I won't be going to see it.
