The point was to avoid the tedious behaviour of a select group of imbeciles who get home from a concert (that naturally they themselves did not record, because they were either a) too dumb to think of it b) too cheap to buy the equipment or c) too selfish to give up their constitutional right to yell "YEAAAAHHHHHHHH, WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" at random intervals in order to get a decent recording), get some sleep, get on here and start a thread asking not only if anyone else went to the considerable trouble of recording the show, but if they will give it away.
Now personally that looks like selfish hypocrisy, but maybe I'm overreacting. It's just that my personal view is that we should all...
1. Be grateful for whatever recordings surface, especially for free.
2. Show a little PATIENCE. Just a little. Like, wait until the tour's finished.
Finally, what is actually wrong with a point I made previously, which is that given how much concert stuff passes through this site, isn't it reasonable to assume that for any given concert, SOMEONE among us will want it?
I agree with you Penetration Guru sir, but I must say this is a pointless thread. It's only common sense that people hold on for a while with the bullshit 'UPLOAD THIS GIG LOL' threads, but - there's a lot of people without said common sense, so we're just going to have to live with it.
I'm glad that gradually there are people willing to go against the grain and actually consider my points on their merits.
Alas, one of my many personality faults is that I don't let these things pass by. It's part of my belief that this forum is largely self-moderating (although I seem to have been edited....only some of my requests are valid, it appears).

Well I dunno, it just struck me as counterproductive to start a thread about redundant threads, when this thread itself isn't really going to generate much intelligent discussion. You'd be better off becoming a mod and creating a Sticky or something.
