So - who is ready for a QZ meet up coinciding with Paul, Brian & Roger breezing into Chi-town on or about March 23rd??
A month or so ago in the "pizza topic" in the personal section, a suggestion I made to meet up for Chicago style pizza received some tentative positive response.
Of course ... another idea might be better ...
Comments please from those who might be interested ...
I was considering meeting at Giordano's stuffed pizza in Rosemont or Lou Malnati's deep dish pizza in Elk Grove Village.
Other ideas are welcome too ...

I slightly prefer Lou Malnati's over Giordano's. Lou's has a better sauce, but Gio's has a tastier Cheese blend. Both pizzas have an excellent crust that is unusually crispy for a deep dish pizza.

What roads are these places located. We are staying in Rosemont near the Allstate Arena
Lou Malnati's is 6 miles west of All State Arena at 1050 E Higgins Rd (also known as IL Rte 72), Elk Grove Village, IL.
Giordano's is 1.25 miles east of All State Arena at 9415 W Higgins Rd (also known as IL Rte 72), Rosemont, IL

OK - Four people so far (Pieter, Erin, Red Special and myself).
Who else is with us? What about some of the people who expressed tentive interest earlier in the thread?
Like ... Tiff-a-NY, aaronh76, Michael Allred, KRKillerQueen, and Compliance Queen?
For planning purposes, please, pretty please. indicate if you plan on being there.
We will probably be there a bit later than 5pm - We're hitting the spa for facials and massages at 3:00 :-) so I'm guessing that with the nightmare Chicago traffic we'll be there closer to 6....
KRKillerQueen - how many of you will be there at Giordano's? I am trying to get a count and possbily make a reservation so that we are not scattered at 3 or more tables throughout the restaurant.
Thanks
Mixed News ...
I made a reservation for 9 people 4:30PM to be able to get a guaranteed reservation.
I had just attempted to make a reservation, and Girodano's already has one reservation for 50 people at 5:15. .... I wonder .... LOL
I know at least 3 of you might not be able to make it before 5:30. I apologize, but this other reservation for 50 puts a crimp in things.
Please let me know if you still can make it, so that I can adjust the reservation if necessary.
Sorry for the confusion. Please let me know and hope to see you there.

Queen T, aaronh76, and KRkillerqueen (and anyone else interested in the Giordano's 4:30 meet-up):
Please let me know whether or not you can make it at 4:30PM.
Given that Giordano's will be packed and tables will be in high demand, I think I should call Giordano's Wednesday evening and scale back the reservation from 9 down to 4 if no one else will be able to make it.
Please let me know ...
Well I will try to make it, by 4:30 ish but no promises. It all depends on traffic. I would like to meet up with you guys and gals though. Maybe if it is packed we can just meet up there and go from there?
Let me know, Aaron
I should be on time at 4:30, but I am making a 9 hour detour to Oshkosh WI for work to help make sure an experiment is set up properly. It had to be done Thurday otherwise it could not be done for another two weeks or so. I leave at 6:30 AM so I should be OK as the weather will be good.
I will call the restaurant on the off chance I am late. Remember, the reservation is under "Van".
