Assuming you're talking about when Roger forgot the lines to his own song, here's what happened:
Freddie indeed had to take the reigns of lead vocal when Roger forgot the words to 'I'm In Love With My Car'. At the end of the song, a disgruntled Roger threw a cymbal, frisbee-style, at Freddie's head for messing up what he later called "an instrumental attempt" at the song. Freddie later explained, from the bed of an ambulance, that he must have missed that memo and that Roger can go suck an egg if he really wanted to. The headwounds caused by Roger's 20" ride cymbal were considerable enough that Freddie had to wear his leather cap for the entirety of the remaining shows on the 1979 tour, causing parts of his hair to overheat, melt, and relocate on his upper lip - hence, Freddie's decision to permanently grow a moustache.

Im gonna give you the right answer instead of assholes giving you shit for answers.
Roger sang the "when im holding your wheel" verse a verse too early. Then roger stopped and freddie continued then when the chorus hit, Roger joined back in.

No need to get vicious to compensate for lacking a sense of humor.
I attended the Glasgow gig the night before Fri Nov 30th 1979. It was a great show and the band was in fine form. Still searching for a recording of this nights performance.
Ive only heard a snippet of ILWMC with roger forgetting the vocals. Form what i heard it sounded to me like Brian mucked up the chords and threw Rodger off? Anyone else hear this?
