Makes me appreciate the quality and level of performance seen in the Queen + PR tour. I'm sorry, but now the Stones make a grown man cry.
I hope we never have to see Queen like that.
yea i was questioning his singing quality, then my mom reminded me that hes like 60 something which is quiet remarkable. But yea they were OK it is still refreshing to have classic bands on stage as compared to justin timberlake and the new artists. Becuase i still must say the rolling stones are better than any of them.

C'mon that was the BEST moment in Super Bowl history.
As ridiculous as it is for a pop star in her late 30s to pop-out a titie in the most watched TV event in America, it was even more ridiculous the reaction from far-right conservatives to make a fuss of a boobie that was only seen for less than 2 seconds.

Not by much.
I'm a Stones fan, have been for many years, but I think they're dropping the ball (no pun intended). Mick got visibly tired during 'Satisfaction', and, as much as I love Ronnie Wood, his guitar added absolutely nothing to the sound. The guitar sound was way too high, and it sounded like crap. Overall... blaugh. Paul McCartney's set last year was far better.
I thought their performance was fair. Very Stones-ish -- raw and sloppy sounding. Glad to see it was just the core band and they didn't have the backup singers and horn section with them. Too bad ABC chose to censor Mick in two of the songs. And, yeah, I just listened to the MP3 file of "Satisfaction," and you can tell where Mick is out of breath in most of the song.
By the way, did anyone catch the National Anthem with Aaron Neville & Aretha Franklin? I missed it but I've read some reviews on various messageboards and haven't read one good review about it. In fact, most of them say it was one of the worst renditions they've ever heard.

OH MY GOD!!! U SAW THAT TOO!!!
I WAS LAUGHING AND TELLING MY MOM AND SHE WAS LIKE WELL HE'S OLD, ITS NOT FAT, ITS SKIN. i was like still! but i think it makes him more pure, he could have got it removed with all his money, but he's normal.

I saw it and heard it. It was awful. I don't understand the appeal in Aretha Franklin or Aaron Neville for that matter. Neither of them are music to my ears. Any person that sings with Aretha, she makes sure they are not heard by covering their voice up with her screams. Bleh. I haven't quite figured out what Aaron Neville reminds me of sound-wise, but I'm thinking something between a parrot that has been ran over by a Mack truck or a child's musical toy that the batteries are dying in.

They had all the hired arm-waving airheads in the 'inner stage' area during the performance, before shipping all those people back out in the streets when the game restarted.
For the 'real' reactions......anyone look at those in the stands after The Stones were done?
Maybe 10% were clapping. The rest were just standing there, probably going, 'holy sh*t, they sucked!'
It was gawdawful.
'Start Me Up', a new one, and then 'Satisfaction'. A medley would have been better.
U2 and McCartney shocked us at how good they were. The Stones shocked us at how poor they were.
Q + PR would blow the Stones off the stage...
Period.
Now, you put the Stones in an arena for three hours, with their own sound guys, it might be a more even fight.
