hey guys,
wha do you think about an queen unplugged concert !
Is it wort to do a concert like that ?
or is queen to heavy for this ?
did freddie like this ideaa !
THANKS GUYS
Well, the "Unplugged" craze hit after Freddie was long gone. That said, I believe that a healthy Freddie with the boys would have done that well.
Hell, even Brian's Unplugged bit sounds great.
Brians unplugged was'nt so bad yeah, although I think it was just a fad that MTV had at the time in the early to mid 1990's ish, dont seem to get many these days. Cant imagine Roger enjoying this type of thing, Freddie would of probably thought, well why not we will be better than the rest so lets do it.
There was a brazilian band named Queen Unplugged too. They used to play unusual songs like Man On The Prowl, Some Day One Day, Long Away and other gems!
Queen Unplugged would be kickass. I mean, there are a lot of Queen songs that could work very well acoustically. Hammer To Fall, for example. The slow version they've been playing lately works great!
But think about it. It's a fun idea, but probably won't happen
Adam Unger (QueenVault.com) wrote: There was going to be a Queen Storytellers a while back in NY, but 9/11 happened shortly into planning and it never went further.
Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins from Foo Fighters were also going to be heavily involved, but Taylor had a drug overdose and ended up in the hospital in a coma for a few days and then did some rehab after that, all shortly after the Queen Storytellers news appeared, so I always assumed that had a bearing on the project not happening as well.
