... its called "Home". Has anyone here heard it yet?
I was sceptical on 2 counts - firstly that it was a bunch of cover songs - something I am getting bored with. This was a craze popularised by Robbie Williams’ and Westlife’s swing stuff and followed by a spate of other artists like Rod Stewart. We've now got Paul Anka doing swing versions of rock songs now. Enough is enough
And secondly, it was advertised as "the Corrs go back to their Irish roots". I half expected to hear a bunch of "rebel" folk songs - needn’t have worried on that score at least.
I must admit that it has took a few plays, but it is growing on me now. Their versions of songs like "My Lagan Love", "Peggy Gordon" and Richard Thompsons "Dimming Of The Day" are not bad at all. What do you guys think?
The roots of the coors were such classics as "So Young" "Dreams" and my particular favourite "What can I do".
Pop music unbearable on even the most hardened ears.
I like the Corrs (especially Andrea ;) ). I must admit I've only listened to Home twice. I still think it's a little too calm for me. I prefer their Pop/folk tunes.
