Queen piano pieces in my opinion are awesome. So rhythmic plus they fit the songs well with impecible timing and accompiniment.
I can play Bo Rhap, Dont Stop me Now, Love of my Life, Seven Seas of Rhy, Black Queen, bits of Killer Queen, Somebody to Love and Loverboy.
My absolute favourite though is Lap of the Gods Revisited. If you can play piano, then learn that one, its class. :-)
Awesome...I can only really play Bo Rhap and You Take my Breath Away...oh and It's A Hard Life.
I enjoy playing Bo Rhap.
Do you know where one can get midi files with the piano tracks accurately transcribed? I've got hundreds, but only a few are worthwhile. I would love to play In the Lap of the Gods (revisited)
I can play a great version of Bo Rhap in its entirety - that is my favorite. i also lOVEEE to play You Take My Breath Away, Love of My Life, You're My Best Friend and My Melancholy Blues.
Freddie's songs are so fucking great to play on the piano, the man was so talented. now i am trying to learn The Millionaire Waltz but this one's pretty hard. anyone's playing it?
Yeah I know Bo Rhap out my head by now, always great fun to play tho.
Thanks for the link, will check it out, as for free midi converters: try MidiNotate Composer. It's only a 30-day trial, but the program is rather silly, you can just set your system clock back. If you want to take the sneaky route lol.
Also, I was wondering, which piano pieces sound good on their own?
Bohemian Rhapsody does rather, since it's such a recognisable tune and it varies itself a fair amount. Love of My Life is another nice one to play.
But for example, a piece like Play the Game, it sounds terribly bland with just piano.
Sometimes it does wonders to merge a vocal track and a piano track of a midi -- for parts of Love of My Life, for example, or Made in Heaven -- but often it gets too complicated. So you have to be careful, sometimes the thing expects one to have eleven fingers lol.
Yes, why as a matter of fact there are two links to a Made in Heaven midi on that website you suggested to me. Unless you are talking about a different version?
Ok check your email --
It's a TIFF file, you might need the fonts that came with MidiNotate to be installed for it to display correctly.
Also on this transcription I have included the Vocal, Piano, Guitar, Synth and Bass tracks separately.
Tell me if you prefer them transcribed differently, e.g. Piano and Vox merged.
I'm a piano player and I can play a couple of songs perfectly. "Play the game" "Save me" "Sail away sweet sister" "Too much love will kill you" "My life has been saved" "Is this the world we created" "It's a hard life" "Bohemian Rhapsody" "Killer Queen" "Somebody to love" "Seven seas of Rhye" and "We are the champions".
I'm playing piano at a hotel and ejoy playing these Queen tunes :) *hehe* They rock!
I can play Bohemian Rhapsody, It's a hard life and a bit of few others. I downloaded this program called anvilstudio where you can read the music from Midi files, that's how I learn most of the songs. I also have some fun playing the piano with the backing tracks (guitar, bass and drums) I just put the volume down for the piano and play alone with the backing tracks.

how the smeg did you learn Seven Seas, man?
I can play most of We Are The Champions, although i'm a bit wary of learning songs on the piano cos i don't want to 'spoil' them for myself...
see Justin Hawkins on 'Fat Bottomed Girls'
"I grew up with that song, I'm so precious about it that I've never even attempted to learn how to play it on the guitar. 'Jazz' is my favourite Queen album by far."
oh, and half of Melancholy Blues
