Freddie and Mary went to Roger's wedding, none of the other members of Queen did! Hehehe.
Freddie stayed at Roger's house in another country with him sometimes. And they were always at parties together, even in the late 80's as seen in photos!

I think John was pretty friendly with Roger most of the time, there's lots of clips of them laughing and joking together. It's hard to tell with Brian - I think he was equally close to all of them, perhaps with Freddie a little more.
Good topic, btw.
I know Brian once said that when Freddie died it was like "losing his brother".
And I know Brian and Rog are close from back in the days with Tim. And we all know Fred and Rog were just party animals basically. And I've read in a book how Bri and John got on through their love of technology and that kinda stuff.
Although, I remember reading something on here from someone saying that Freddie was very protective of John and John looked at Fred like a brother, and that is why he no longer feels comfortable in the spotlight anymore, becuase he hasnt got Freddie to look after him per se.
From Peter Freestone's interview.
"Q: And, from a fans point of view, it seems that John and Freddie were quite close as were Brian and Roger...
A: Yes yes they were... In the beginning Freddie just took John under his arm... He didn't want anything to happen to him... And as it's already be said elsewhere Freddie WAS going to be a star regardless... That was a given...And he just wanted to protect John from the extremes he was getting himself into...and they were very good friends..."
From Peter Jones' interview.
"Q: Did the band use to get together in free time and socialise?
A: No, not in my knowledge. Purely business. Well… Roger would come to dinner and things like that…but apart from that, no. Deacy no, Brian no. They only really got together in the studio, band meetings, and touring. Only now and again, he’d socialise with Roger.
Q: Was Freddie closer to any of the band members?
A: I would say probably Roger more than any of the rest of them. Meaning like, Roger would come out to dinner with us and go to the odd party. Whereas the others, no."
