This my selection of bootleg concerts by year. This list of bootlegs contains every easily available Queen song that Queen performed live (with the exception of Back Chat and Put Out the Fire which are available on the Queen on Fire DVD anyway). My selections are based on song selection first - then on sound quality.
1973-09-13 Golders Green
1974-03-31 London Rainbow
1975-05-01 Tokyo Budokan
1976-03-31 Tokyo
1977-06-06 London Earl's Court
1978-04-13 Copenhagen
1979-04-20 Osaka
1980-09-19 Chicago
1981 02-13 Tokyo
1982-08-09 New Jersey
1984-09-14 Milan
1985-05-15 Osaka
1986-08-09 Knebworth Park Stevenage
I know I could have selected some other concerts, but overall I think this list is good, and I would easily recommend any of the above concerts.
With your criteria in mind, that is a fantastic list. My only change would be Leiden 6-11-86 instead of Knebworth. They play the complete Friends Will Be Friends, and the quality is just one step down from Knebworth.
superb list indeed! I recenty made myself a triple-mp3-cd compilation which actually contains most of those concerts you mentioned :D
If you can live with mp3 cds......thats about all the live Queen you'll ever need :D
well until I see the next concert I dont have pop up on here....

Freddie's voice is in great shape at the beginning of the tour, too. He's trying stuff he wouldn't have dared try at Wembley and Knebworth. Budapest was good because Fred rested his voice for a few days.
Reportedly, only at Leiden
Both nights at Leiden, and that's it... unless they decided to bring it back for Zurich, since those are the only two shows we don't have recordings of the encore... but I doubt it. They were pretty comfy with the set by then, although they played a bit of KYA for fun in Munich and Dublin around that time.
