hey,
I just recieved a great video off someone and im trying to burn it to a DVD, but, im using Nero Express 2SE and it crashes after after about 14-16minutes for some reason yet it burns everything else fine, anybody know any good dvd burning software i can use?
the vidoe file im tryin to burn is known as a "video clip" or so it says, it will burn for about 16 mins then crash, but burn everyhting else, iv just tried the step by step thing for the ulead dvd thing and it keeps aborting automotcailly so i give up on that, anything else i can try?
files need to be pure avi or mpeg
some 'avi's' are actually divx rips and ulead/nero and pinnacle can't handle them properly
i know - i've tried the same thing with the Kiss-MTV Unplugged gig
it won't have it...apparently there's a plug-in for pinnacle studio9+, but i don't know about nero and ulead
ah thats why then, cos this file is a divx thing i think, its a concert ripped from a dvd but it refuses to burn/ crashes all the time! any help would be greatly appreciated!
i'm not keen on nero at all if im burning a avi xvid movie file from the net etc i just burn it as raw data onto disc its easier than doing long conversions to mpeg etc
my dvd player (non pc) plays anything
I've just about had it with NeroVision myself. They finally fixed the pauses after chapter marks, and now it flashes a frame of the upcoming chapter towards the end of the current chapter. Not to mention the constant audio sync problems, the black frames added between merged titles, no fade-in or out with black.. just their fancy shit transitions that cause slowing and jumping, and the encoding failures for no known reason. Oh, and since the July 15 update it's impossible to select the right frame for chapter thumbnails.
Other than that it's a great program.
EDIT:- gave it a go, but it got to the end and failed to respond, it stil lgave me a completed file and still crahsed GRRR!
when you put a video in is it meant to go into the audio or video bit cos when i try putting it in the video section it says no video file found! but it puts it in the audio section :S
im a clueless bastard!
ok its an mpeg, which i think i will need to convert to avi lol, isnt this a real pain in the arse?!
ideas? lol im so going to hit a wall its getting that annoying!
Oh, here's another thing... if it keeps crashing in the same spot, make sure you have enough hard drive space. Nero requires three times the size of the file to output a DVD to the HD. The original file, their temporary files, and the output.
So if your original file is 700 MB, figure on needing three times that (a little over 2 gigs) available.
