This is a reality check and I hope nobody has been hurt but with the explosion being on the railways, there could be a chance they will not allow anybody to travel tomorrow. I am due to travel up on the train from South Wales to London with my girlfriend for the Hyde Park concert.
They are saying the explosion is due to power surges but apparently a bus has exploded as well and they have have found 2 traces of a bomb.
I do not want to be a prophet of doom but if this is due to terrorist activities etc... Then there could be a chance the Hyde Park concert will be cancelled tomorrow, which obviously, for the saftey of everybody, this should be the case.
Let us just hope and pray it does not turn out to be anything other that power surges, for the sake of the concert and much more importantly, for the safety of people!
First thing when I heard the news I thought- terrorist attack... They completely shut down the whole underground- havoc in the city... Shouldn't this be in PERSONAL? :) Nah- no matter... Hopefully the gig will follow as planned and that 'd mean that it really was what they claim- power surges...
I think the French are taking revanche...
No serious, I don't know what to think of this. We'll hear it in a few hours/days.
By the way, it's better to post such things in the Personal section.
Power surges my ass... 6 explosions- an hour after underground stuff the bus exploded... Foockin' hell- imagine they were voting the Olympic bid tomorrow, not yesterday...
First all, apologies if this is in the wrong thread. I am in work and I should not be doing this anyway, so I am kind of rushing but again, apologies.
Secondly, from what I can gather, it has been confirmed this is terrorists... BASTARDS!!!
All I can say, is that if the travel and concert is cancelled (which, realisticly, I think that will be the case), then I am absolutely devestated but again, safety and life is a hell of a lot more important than anything else!

That's not even close to being funny you fucking idiot. Grow up, fuck off and annoy some other people.
I have friends that work in that area and I can't get hold of them.
Definitely terrorism. I hope all 'Zoners are safe especially as so many were coming to London this week.
If I was the police I would not want a hundred thousand people milling around central London the day after a massive incident like this.
However I believe that a decision will not be taken until early tomorrow so the show may go on.
There is a case for going ahead with all "normal" activities as soon as possible. Show the bastards that "they" will not win .

you probably can't contact anyone by mobile at the moment as we've switched all networks off to prevent other devices being triggered by 'phone.
leave it an hour or so.

My thoughts straight away was terrorist attack, what else can it be. The timing of all these things happens is very close together.
Its just been said on the t.v. that 20 have died and there are 90 casualties.
It must be terrifying for the people involved(my thoughts are with them)

I have not posted a message in the forum before however what has happened today i feel i can no longer avoid it. A terrorist attack in England especially London was always certain it was just a matter of when it was going to happen. Living in England seeing this devastation in my home country has really opened my eyes to how open we are to these malicious inhumane attacks. My thoughts just like everyone else are with the victims' families and anyone who was affected by this cowardly attack.
33..now 40 people already were killed in the London subway terrorist explosions. The transport authority shut down the subway system.
They think this is retaliation to the G8 talks and also are fearing for the lives of the G8 leaders.
I am so scared and upset for everyone in London and the UK.
I just found out about all this. I started reading the newspaper, and went on the net.
This is terrible, and appalling that evil people would kill innocent people for their fanatical, twisted beliefs.
Per CNN Reports ..
...''A group, the "Secret Organization group of al Qaeda Organization in Europe," claimed responsibility in a Web site posting. The authenticity of the claim could not immediately be verified.''
Here is CNN News Headlines. link
My thoughts are with all in London, it's surrounding areas, as well as the entire country. Fortunately, I've heard from all of my friends over there and all are safe.
To all readers of this site in the UK - here's hoping you/your friends/family are all safe.
Yes, every poster here in the UK, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your families as well as everybody else...don't worry, guys...we can stop this! remember, the good guys always win in the end! as for my opinion about wether or not the Hyde Park show is to go on or not...The Show Must Go On...we can't let these bastards win! we have to be strong if we want to beat them!
Any of us could have been there today,
Kings Cross or any of the affected places,
They could have disappeared,
We are alive in another country but today...
So many people’s lives faded today
So many people suffered today
So many were injured either physically or in their hearts, minds and souls
All of them, filled with dreams, love and life, get up every morning and use the public transport to do their duties,
So terrible, so shocking, so sad
We are sorry for all of them ,
sorry for so much cruelty
The reason is unknown here at the moment,
who and why did it
Yet some of us hope one day all this evil acts are over.
We are very and really sorry England, our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with you.
