That's true, Bob. Wasn't the bootlegger the owner of that venue where Queen played? He could place the mics everywhere he wanted to. So, you get a nice sound, coming from every angle. And I must admit: It sounds as an soundboard recording, but it's an audience recording!

It's exactly as good audio-quality speaking, and a much better show.
Don't bother him.
Leigh hasn't got mutch shows, one a yhear or something. so he just listed the shows he has.

I don't know how that myth started. The taper certainly did not have any association with Chicago Stadium. He was a regular fan who (apparently) managed to smuggle in a superb recording device.
Hmmm.. I think my all time favourite bootleg is Brian May live in Urtrecht, The Netherlands, 1998.
But that's only because it was the first queen related concert I ever visited. And also the first bootleg I had from a concert that I visited.

Luckily I do have the mastertape version. Now I listen to it again, its clear that it's an audience recording, but by God, what a recording. What is it about Chicago? Awesome accoustics, or is there something in that myth about the owner of the venue? :)
