That was the first of their album's i listened to a m8 at school had the cd and i listened to it one day and got hooked on it, so i went out and bought it. The Album has got loads of great songs on it which i thouht was cool including the best song Disapearing Boy.
I must admit to thinking that they were utter garbage in the beginning apart from a couple of songs. Then I watched VH1 storytellers show and was converted, especially with the "....September Ends" song.
I love American Idiot and Dookie is good, too, but I haven't listened to much else. I do have 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours but it's somewhere in the black hole of my room...
I'm probably the only Green Day fan who thinks that 'Dookie' was their worst album since... well, 'Dookie'. Of course, I don't mean that 'Dookie' is a bad album, because it was their breakthrough album. However, I think that 'Dookie' was more about the hit songs than the actual album as a whole. Ever since then Green Day grew as a band. When 'Warning' came out in 2000, it wasn't very well received. It wasn't a bad album, but quite an average one. I think Green Day showed their full potential with 'American Idiot'.
Btw, I'm going to see them at Giants Stadium in September.
