According to Contact music.com
"Legendary British rockers QUEEN will perform at London's LIVE 8 concert thanks to a live satellite link-up.
The WE WILL ROCK YOU legends - who starred in the original LIVE AID extravaganza 20 years ago (85) - are busy performing in Portugal on 2 July (05) when the Hyde Park charity show takes place.
But Queen are so keen to play at the historic event, they are arranging a spectacular satellite connection to join British fans at the star-studded line up.
Live 8 spokesman PHIL SYMES says, "The band are playing an outdoor concert on the same day. They are discussing featuring at Live 8 on a big screen."
BRIAN MAY, ROGER TAYLOR, JOHN DEACON and PAUL RODGERS - the ex-FREE and BAD COMPANY singer who replaced the band's late frontman FREDDIE MERCURY - will 'virtually' perform alongside other A-list celebrities including SIR PAUL McCARTNEY, MARIAH CAREY and SIR ELTON JOHN." link
From BRIAN'S WEBSITE...he says it's NOT YET CONFIRMED THOUGH...............

QUEEN SCREEN DREAM (?)
(NOT OFFICIAL - UNCONFIRMED)
Band do Live 8 by satellite
According to the Daily Mirror - THEY royally stole the show at Live Aid. Now, 20 years on, Queen hope to send us ga-ga again at Live 8 - even though their rock majesties can't be there in person.
The band - who are back together with Free's Paul Rodgers stepping into the stack-heeled shoes of the late, great Freddie Mercury - are playing in Portugal on July 2, when Live 8 takes place in London.
The Mirror goes on: But they are so keen to take part in the spectacular gig, they are arranging a live satellite link-up from Lisbon's Estadio Restelo to Hyde Park.
Spokesman Phil Symes tells us: "The band are playing an outdoor concert on the same day. They are discussing featuring at Live 8 on a big screen."
Queen - who wowed the world at Live Aid with We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions and Radio Ga-Ga - might even play with pop hunk Robbie Williams.
A Live 8 insider says: "Robbie is performing in Hyde Park and apparently wants to do We Will Rock You or We Are The Champions before his hit Angels. Who knows, he may end up collaborating with Queen via satellite. It'll be amazing. It's tragic that Freddie is no longer alive but Paul will do them proud."

QUEEN LIVE 8 CAMPAIGN
'QUEEN SCREEN DREAM' - Queen Do Live 8 By Satellite
There is a piece in today's Mirror (UK) reporting that Queen COULD play Live 8. A campaign is underway to have Queen perform even by satellite with a possible live link with Robbie Williams.
In addition, the UK Chancellor, Gordon Brown appeared on GMTV this morning saying that he hoped Queen could find a way to take part.
PLEASE NOTE: This is in no way official confirmation of Queen contributing to Live 8 at this point in time.
Elsewhere, also in The Times today the front cover of the T2 section is Freddie with the headline 'Who did Freddie snog backstage at Live Aid? - Live 8: a swotter's guide'.
It also has the photo of Brian and Roger in the box with Princess Diana (one of Roger leaning over to talk to Bowie).
I emailed Brian Mays website and got this response from Jen there....

Thanks Micky
Not yet confirmed.
The 'John Deacon' reference is because contactmusic haven't been paying
attention to the Queen tour. Lacking on 'doing their homework'./
Best wishes
