Imagine the we will rock you had a much beter audio quality (let's say the same as the Milton Keynes DVD/ On Fire)when you listen to it in your dvd player. Which concert is better do you think ? I would choose for Milton Keynes. I think the songs are more variated and the Hot Space songs are really performed very well. I also think the drumkit Roger uses is much beter than the one he used for the we will rock you dvd. I also think John plays more at Milton Keynes. He is a really good bassplayer there. I don't like what he does on the we will rock you dvd (or better say what he doesn't do). I also think the Milton Keynes stage is great. It is a strange stage, but really great and with fantastic lights. This is MY opinion and I'm interested in which concert you think is better. And please don't look at how the audience participates, because everybody knows that the audience for the we will rock you dvd was the worst they could ever get.
I think different songs work better on the differet shows. I don't like the lights on MK, I think there are too few of them, and its a bit dull. WWRY is a little bit brighter, but probably the only audience Queen ever played to post-1975 that didn't know the words to Love Of My Life.
I actually don't think the sound is that bad on WWRY, not perfect, but not that bad.
WWRY is the only DVD with that format though (the one that they had for a number of years). You know, opening with WWRY fast, Let Me Entertain You. Doing Killer Queen with ...Car etc. Basically, the Live Killers thing.
I love Milton Keyes....
Its one of my favorite Queen gigs.
WWRY is ok.... but the crowd on that show sucks.... they are so boring.... like they had never heard Queen before.
Canadian and American crowds are different than those in Europe. Love Of My Life was dropped in America and Canada in 1982. The WWRY DVD is noted for KYA with that improv jam and Roger's drum and tympani solos.
The audio & picture quality of the latest version of WWRY is much better than MK. MK sounds overly processed and has very little sound definition. Why do QP always ruin the picture quality of everything they touch? Everything looks like theyve scrubbed just a bit to hard to try and achieve the unachievable.
We Will Rock You is my favorite Queen DVD.
The crowd doesn't bother me. I don't care what the crowd is doing at a show. Actually, I do care; I want them to SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP. If only people would observe the level of silence at a rock concert that they do at an opera, I would go to a lot more concerts.
WWRY all the way. Roger's drumset IMO is the best one. Not to mention he didnt go ape-shit with the electrics like he did in MK. I prefer the sound of his toms from WWRY then the MK toms.
The biggest thing I dont like about MK was the video angles. IE the end of we will rock you fast. Where Roger has the drumsolo at the end. Where are they zooming in on? Freddie just standing there.
