Brian: Doubt it
Roger: No, but they'd lose heaps of fangirls/teenyboppers/stepford chicks/stalkers in the process...
John: Two years after John's replaced; "Wait a 'tic, the bass player dude from Queen DIED?? You're joking!! Well, when did THAT happen?"

No. Not even John.. Why does everybody think he didn't matter in this band!!! HE DID MATTER! It is not like he only played the bass lines!
I've read a quote in either Freddie or Brian that they always asked John before they made desissions.. that sounds like they trusted him and not like he was no-body like I see a lot of people talk about him as.
Brian: Definatly NO
Roger: Ditto
John: NO!!!. but there's a possibilaty if he had died in the early days (Queen I Queen II days) they might have gone on because y'now in the very beginning they just couln't find a bassist. There a couple they they only had for one day, they's just grab them off the street and never see them again.
It was Freddie´s voice and Brian´s guitar!!!
John and Roger could have easily been replaced by many others who have, at least, the same musical skills as them...
C´mon guys and gals... Spread Your Wings, Another One Bites The Dust or I Want T Break Free on an album by the Immortals... or Radio Gaga or A Kind of Magic on an album by The Cross... Why were those songs so successfull? Be honest to yourself!
What a stupid topic. It's bad enough Freddie died but then imagining what would happen if any of the other band members died instead is disgusting. You should be ashamed.

Yes we're worse than as Salron. We should kill our selves <SLIT UUUUUUUUGH THUD SILENCE>
Queen may have carried on if any died
It is just that once a team members the team isn't right anymore
meaning once one band member dies the band wont sound the same so even if they lost john it would like losing freddie as well as roger and brian
And to those who think John being a little part of queen i hope you feel real stupid but thier 2# best selling single was Another One Bites The Dust as well as getting them popular in the U.S.
If Queen was going to carry on without Freddie
(this assumes that you feel that these Paul Rodgers gigs are Queen "carrying on")
Then Queen could carry on at the loss of any band member or band members.
If Freddie can have someone stand in for him...then so could the others.
Hell, I know most of Brian's licks & songs, just about note for note.... I can fire up my AC-30's, my duel echoplexes, and my Guild Brian May...
and perhaps, me, John Deacon, Jason Bonham, and George Michael may be able to reproduce closer Queen sounding material than the current "Queen" lineup.
I love the new tour...I love the sounds.... I'm going to go see them...
Do I think its Queen??
Not really.
Come on people, how stupid can you be?
Queen was a one off because of the four different personalities that, in the end, all mattered in equal amounts because of the magic they pulled off being Queen (aka John, Freddie,Roger and Bri)
It's one og the reasons they said:
Queen are: Freddie Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon, Roger Taylor
Listen fellas. If they'll play without Fred, they'll do ANYTHING. I'm not agains Q+PR, but I'm just saying if you can take something like Freddie's death and keep on playing, then I guess you can live through anything.
