I read an article on the board in which brian is moaning about the Olympics. He says "Do I want the Olympics here? Hell, no. Did anyone ask us, fellow Londoners, if we wanted this? I don't think so," he said. He instead wants a rock venue. Fair enough I thought. But speaking for myself and hopefully lots of Queen fans: Do we want a Queen and Paul Rodgers Live DVD? I don't think so! Did Queen productions or whoever else ask us? NO!!! We want more live Queen from the 70's and even 80's, and also a Greatest Video Hits 3 DVD with no Queen+ stuff would be apreciated. So is brian being a hypocrite? And does anyone else agree with me? Thanks |

I want Queen + PR to gig in Scotland as Brian "promised" ages ago, but it looks like that aint gonna happen either. So basically his promises arent worth a lot either. Maybe I should "promise" to buy the new DVD when it comes out....... Actually on the subject of DVD's, I believe someone from QP said that no 70's shows will released on DVD. |

I fuckin' want Sheffield DVD! The sooner the better!!! |

ThanksFunnily enough, I don't think it's fair to compare the bid for the olympics with a Queen dvd release, Forever. Releasing a dvd or product that no-one (apparently) wants is quite different from the government (correct?) using billions of pounds to make some huge event come over here to the UK. Not really hypocritical of anything, really. Peace, Adam. |

Agreed with Adam. Plus, I wouldn't mind getting Sheffield on DVD - who really made you the majority's voice? |

I know that a DVD release is not the same as the Olympics but the point I was trying to make was that he is moaning about getting something that he wasn't asked if he wanted, as he said he would prefer a Rock venue instead. And if asked surley all real Queen fans would rather have another real Queen DVD released instead of Queen Rodgers one. And if I'm wrong about that then no wonder we aren't getting any new good products!!! |

How can you compare the two things? Queen release a DVD that fans don't want they don't buy it, it costs them - nothing. The Olympics is staged in London, Londoners don't want it, it costs them - a bloody fortune and a hell of a lot of inconvenience from the day the bid is accepted until the whole thing is over and the Olympic village is left to rot like the millennium dome! Brian hypocritical... not on this one, no! |

I don't quite understand Brian's logic here. Nobody is forcing him to "participate" in the Olymics, so why should he get all fussy about it? Cranky man that complains about silly things, maybe...not a hypocrite, tho. |

He's a guitar player. |

If they ask him to open the event standing on the top of the new Wembley stadium playing We Will Rock You, he will be there. Quote me on it. |

That...I can totally agree with him on. Should it just be in the hands of the govt? Why not a people's choice? Buying a Queen dvd is a choice. You don't have to buy it. But they (the government?) are using Londoner's money to make this olympic thing happen for them. Don't we want that money going towards something a little more useful? The Olympics are a one-time thing. But a really good venue that Brian talks of is something that lasts a long time and brings in the money over many, many years. I can understand his point well. Peace, Adam. |

there is a logic behind the olympics. and Brian should quit dissing a politican(Ken Livingston),considering he said queen werent a political band, and the whole sun city sham. |

oh, and sorry for adding 2 posts instead of 1 - I think thar all this Queen+ tour shows us, that Brian isn't as nice as we (at least I) thought. |

Now that O2 have sponsored the millenium dome there will be 200 gigs in a venue big enough to hold 20,000 people. So the question now is if Bri is happy that there is a suitable venue for the future, will he make people from Wembley happy. Todays email says I can but one get one free for the general admission tickets. Like a lot of people I already have gold circle. Sounds to me like a great way to get shot of tickets that weren't selling instead of a way to placate people who were pissed off about the Wembley gig. So the comment on Bri's web site that says "We are so incensed that we plan to offer EVERYONE who attended this show a special deal on our upcoming Hyde Park gig." should say "We're sorry you had a bad time, please buy some extra tickets that you don't need, and we can't sell, that are even further from the action than you were at Wembley !" So I agree - hypocrite |

So I agree - hypocriteBuy one get one free?!! Nice deal. You could make a killing by selling them. The fact is, they showed up and performed. They did their part. The venue, unknowingly, wasn't up to it. Brian's blog on the website states that they (Bri n Rog) were unhappy when they arrived and saw the place, but were unable to do anything about it. The fact that they're offering you guys two for one prices is a damned nice offer. If you don't like it, pass it on to someone who'll really love it. Hypocrite? Don't think you really know what it means to make that above post. Peace, Adam. |
