I've been wondering a lot how one would go about getting a job of being the person who cleans and polishes the guitars before each gig? Do you need any qualifications or anything? Its sure a job I wouldn't mind having!!!You wouldn't have to pay me!!
Just something to think about, guys!!

Guitar Tech's do much more than clean and polish the guitars. As well as re-stringing and re-tuning the guitars to concert pitch, they have to know how the pick-ups work and how to repair them should they not work. They also have to know how to sort the fretboard out supposing the wood itself should warp even slightly and how to sort the action (the gap between the string and the fretboard). And thats just the bits I know about. So in answer to your question do you need qualifications, then yes most likely at least for the top professionals like Brian.
