i'm in dublin on saturday supporting llanelli scarlets against munster in the final of the celtic cup. after seeing queen in cardiff last week imagine my delight to find out that they are playing in dublin at the same time as i'm there only a week later.
my question is... does anybody know how far it is from landsdowne road to the point?
and also what is the best way to travel between the two venues?
thanks alot / diolch yn fawr

It isn't much more than a mile as far as I can remember... :/
I don't know if there are any buses going in that direction, but the DART is useless for this trip. :P
I would suggest walking northwards along that little river that runs behind Lansdowne road... link
It is about 30 minutes walk but you will need to ask for directions (I know how to go there but it will be hard to explain in this message) :-) . You can also get the DART (suburban train) to Grand Canal Dock, and from there it will be even easier (15 minutes walk from there I think). A taxi will cost you around 5 euros and there is a taxi rank in Lansdowne Road 5 minutes walk from the stadium. Keep in mind that you will have to cross the Liffey as the Point is in the nortside so part of the walk from Lansdowne will be to find a suitable bridge!
To summarize: Both venues are close enough!
See you there!
